Push press BW x 1.5
Long term goal, but wanted to throw this one out there.
I think it's reachable. Attaining this will require a combination of strength gain and weight loss.
Personal best was 252 @ 200 (BW x 1.26) on 8/26/11. Stopped training overheads after that to focus on event training for an October Higlander, then a November PL meet. Started overheads again this past Friday 12/2 and was able to get 185 for a triple. Failed at 215. We'll see how quickly this comes back.
Target: BW 185, push press 275.

Stats: I stand 5' 10". Started at 336 lbs and 49% BF.
Currently 215.8 lbs, 19.8% BF, a fire under my bum that can grind out some serious squats.

I'm rootin' for you on this one, man. If you can hit 1.5xBW it will be impressive. I would join you, but I am way off the mark.
My previous max was 200 lbs and my BW is at 225 right now. Even dropping down to my goal BW of 200 still leaves me 100 lbs short of this challenge.
Maybe in the next year or two... until then, go kill it for me!

Thanks Lenny - we'll see how it goes!
Switched to my "log" bar, which has neutral grip handles. Got 230 for 1 at BW 196 last night.
BW x 1.17 and rising.

CUTTING - NOT SURE FOR HOW LONG!

Count me in!
I weigh 152lbs so would need to do 228lbs (103kg) to pull this off!
Currently I can only bench my body weight 3 times after having done 3 sets of 12 at lower weights - so I have a way to go!

Overhead press with the log bar last night
232 x 1 @ 202 = BW x 1.15
Small step backward. If I stay at 200lbs I'll need to get 300lbs overhead to meet this goal. Thats a big number.

225kg is nasty at any bodyweight, let alone his.
This press has always been impressive to me, for lack of overt leg drive if nothing else. It isn't truly a strict press, but it's damn close. I cheat more than him on the last rep of some of my strict press sets.

I'd like to get this challenge eventually. I'm currently right at BW for a press so it'll probably take a while.

Set a new PR today in terms of weight, 263lbs with my neutral grip "log bar". Unfortunately I've been putting on some body weight in anticipation of an upcoming contest, so at BW 195 this calculates out to only BW x 1.35. Ah well, absolute strength is more important right now.

Set a new overhead "effort" PR on Thursday 8/9. Did 212 for 10 reps with my neutral grip "log" bar. This is a ~1RM of 283. This would be BW x 1.45.
Still makes me weaker than the 117lb women at the London Olympics.

New "absolute" PR in the overhead - 265lb standard barbell at a BW of 200. BW x 1.33.
Did it with a split jerk; technique felt pretty good. Might have had 5-10lbs in the tank.
