Yeah, I think it was the right choice. I'm making good progress, but I want to keep working--especially on bringing up my weak traps and shoulders. Another six weeks should really help.

Could this possibly be the biggest, baddest John Stone we have seen yet?

Well, I've already set some strength PRs, but as for weight and size records? Maybe after I'm done cutting I'll weigh more than I did summer of 2007 at the same body fat (6%), but on this bulk I doubt very seriously I'll hit 236 pounds and equal some of my 2006 bulk measurements. I also won't be hitting 19% body fat this time, so the comparison is not apples to apples.

I was checking out home gyms on ebay and stumbled upon a multi-station gym sold by a company called 'Emart-Australia'. I knew the pics used in the advertisement looked familar.....they were John's!!

I just love it when my copyrighted images are used without permission to promote products I've never even heard of.
I'm going to try and get the listing yanked and will also contact the company with a cease and desist. So annoying.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention, Reno.

It's pretty sad when I envy a canine's meal plan. I guess that says something about me.

No problem mate.
I was pretty sure you'd never used that brand of gym before. The 'Titan' brand name is even visible in the back shot.

I took another back shot tonight and attempted to put Ian's rear double biceps posing suggestions into play.
I think posing this way shows more definition in my lower back (unfortunately light from the front entry door washed some of that out on the left side ), but I still don't think I'm hitting it quite right. I'll keep practicing.

John, looking at your back shot from 2004 in comparison to now is just unbelievable.

Much, much better.
It looks a little awkward but a little more practice and I'm sure you'll nail it.

John in my back photos I try to spread my lats first, in the mirror, then flex my arms without losing my back, trying to push my elbows forward/rotate at the elbows so the shoulders/arms pop more

I finished off week 12 with one hell of a workout! My delts and traps were popping pretty good by the time I finished pummeling them. I took this picture right after I wrapped up.

I appreciate the tips, Dave. I'll be sure to try these things as I practice.

I'm right handed, and yes--pretty much every muscle group on my left side is slightly larger and better developed than those on my right side. It's been this way my entire life. Lately I've started to mentally focus on my right side when lifting.

That's odd. But on a somewhat related note, do you find that keeping proper form is easier on your non-dominant side than it is on your dominant one? Although my left side is bigger and stronger than my right (I'm left handed), I find that for a lot of unilateral movements, my right side is much better at keeping proper form and technique when fatigue starts to set in (regardless of rep range, sets, and high/low weight). It's weird.

It's actually quite common for right-handed people to be stronger and/or better developed on their left side. If you look at my very first progress picture (at 215 pounds/30% body fat), even then you can see that my left pec is bigger than my right pec.

I can't say that's been a problem. Interestingly, my smaller right side seems to be about the same strength as my left side. For example, when I do single arm dumbbell curls, I fail at the same rep on both sides almost every time. Same with lateral raises, dumbbell rows, flyes and on and on...

I think that the imbalance in size and strength is due to the efficiency of motion of the right side. My right arm/leg is more coordinated, naturally, than my left arm, so it synchronizes motions and is more fluid, making lifts at the same resistance easier. I think I read that somewhere.

John, I currently bastardise your 2003 Excel spread sheet that recorded your diet, weight and weight graph.
Have you posted your current Excel 'template' you use anywhere?
