Hi John,

Your cutting diet is quite low in fat, which is similar to my approach(Fat just doesn't satisfying my hunger so its low, vs carbs/protein).

Do you notice any reduction in libido, sorry quite a person question but ive noticed this and since youve been on a ~10week cut like myself had to ask.

I did have another question...
Do you have any "What i've learnt along the way" tips such as how much weight to gain when bulking, any regrets you had from cutting at to low or high calories etc? Always nice to learn from others, so we can avoid the mistakes also.

Looks like your battling back against the illness's, good to see!
As usual, very motivating to see your great progress!
Thank you

Tomorrow is day 2000. How are you marking the occasion. Congratulations on 2000 days of good health and fitness.

Yeah, I wasn't going very heavy on them, either.

I have to thank Mastover for turning me onto Oly lifts like the power clean. I really love them, and I think they are going to play a large role in my upcoming bulk.

No, not at all.

I guess I have a million of those, but I've never compiled them into a single list. I do try to talk about all my triumphs and failures in my daily news updates.

Thanks!

I plan to mark the occasion with a killer leg workout.

2,000 days... not a little thing. Big-time Congrats to you, man. Most people can't make 20 days, much less 2,000. Now, if only I could manage it...

Way to go John! 2,000 days is a huge mark and also should be recognized as the mark of how long you have inspired others to change their lives as well!!

John,
What is the story of the starting photo you posted in today's update. Even when you were out of shape at the start, that has got to be the worst photo of you ever taken.

Thanks very much, guys! It sure doesn't feel like it's been almost 6 years. Time flies when you're having fun.

That's pretty much how I looked back then. I rarely got my hair cut, and was pretty unkempt most of the time. I just didn't care.

That picture was taken on October 30, 2002 (a couple of months before I started my transformation). One morning after my first bowl of weed I was talking to my brother, Paul, on the phone. I looked in the mirror while we were talking and said, "Damn, dude, I feel like total crap, and I'm starting to look like death..."

Paul, of course, deflected and said I couldn't possibly look as bad as I had described, so I took a couple of pictures right then and there and emailed them to him.

Here's another picture I took that morning and have never posted before today:
Name: more_ugly.jpg
Views: 1728
Size: 51.0 KB

After looking at the pictures, Paul agreed that I looked like hammered dogshit.

Seeing those pictures shocked me. I think that was one of the first days when I started thinking about making some changes.

Wow... the look on your face in the pic makes me think of some guys at my school... That's not good for them. I've tried sharing this site with them, or any info about good health for that matter, but they just don't see the 'need' for it.

Getting started was a massive effort, but now I'm just living life.

Extremely impressive.

Yeah, I don't think the BSQ is going to be playing a part in my training again anytime soon.

I'd be much more upset if I couldn't deadlift, which as far as I'm concerned is the real king of all exercises.

Belated congratulations on 2000 days! Though maybe it's like the millenium...the REAL celebration shouldn't start until 2001, so I'm right on time!

Happy belated 2000 bro!!!

Work had me swamped after the PM I sent ya and I completely forgot to congratulate you on your 2000th fitness day. Seriously this is a massive milestone. I mean over these past 2001 days, you've resisted the need to go back to your old ways, you've stayed strong and focused on your goals to better yourself physically and mentally.

John, what is your job? Do you work on networks or is it more of a "geek squad" kind of thing? If I wanted to take my computer skills and get into it, does it pay ok?
