Its funny how JSF has become so much part of my life...I was in Costco and I was looking at the fresh salmon (bought that) then wandered off to the peach mango salsa (my favorite, bought that) then to the frozen section and came across some frozen cod and orange roughy and thought...."I wonder what cod John buys at Costco?" Fresh or frozen? Just curious if you prefer one over the other? This is my first time buying both of them frozen and thought I would give it a try.
Another currosity question? Have ya heard from Mastover??? We're all worried about him He seems to have disappeared.

You know I was wondering what has happened to him too, as most other people here. Hopefully John may have some sort of insight as to whats going on.
Speaking of Costco and John.... Dude when you go shoppin' at Costco how on earth do you fit ALL those groceries into the SLK? lol. I'm assuming the other vehicle both Lisa and yourself have is a wee bit bigger, no?
Though now that I think about it my Mom (not my bio Mom, close friend to Maya and I) has a 2006 mercedes SLK 55 AMG and she can pack ALOT in that little trunk.

I buy all my fish and shrimp at Costco frozen. I think they taste great, and the fillets are pre-cut and vacuum sealed. It makes everything very convenient!

We all love Mastover, and he will be back. He has a lot going on in his life right now. Probably the best thing we can all do for him is give him the space he needs (those are my words, not his).

Yeah, we never take the SLK to Costco! It wouldn't hold 1/3 of what we buy.

Your mom and I have the same trunk, then. Yeah it's much bigger than one would expect, but still nowhere nearly big enough to carry all the crap we buy at Costco every six weeks or so.

I remember the first time she had me take groceries from the car. I remember distinctly remember thinking to myself
"Pfft! why does she need a hand? that thing can only hold small bags at the most"
Boy was I in for a shock when I seen how much she actually packed in that little puppy. I think I made a good 3-4 trips with 5-6 bags per hand!
I don't know if this has been answered or not, but does your SLK have the AMG option as well?

Sorry for the dumb question. I am not too educated on Mercedes or any new real sports car for that matter. Along the way I've heard you can get the SLK with option of AMG. I'm assuming that was an uneducated piece of information given to me.

Ah, whoever you heard that from was probably talking about the SLK AMG styling package. You can purchase an SLK280 or SLK350 with the optional AMG styling package, but it doesn't have the AMG engine.
BTW, looking good, Merk!

I love our Costco here. Only problem I have now is they use to have individually package 6 oz chicken breasts. Perfect for easy grilling/measurements. For some reason they quit selling them and went to bag chicken breasts that range in size. So I have just been buying breast meat in bulk and been cooking in a crock pot, which is quite delicious.
They are awesome for all the little things in my diet I can buy in bulk.
Now if my wife would just let me buy the 50" HDTV thats sitting at the front door I would be even happier.

I get the Gold Kist Farms boneless, skinless chicken breasts from Costco:
Each package has 12 breasts (various weights, but usually around 7 or 8 ounces each), 2 breasts per "section". I make 6 at a time on the grill.
Your Costco doesn't have those, or are those the ones you don't like??

Hey John, what's the price per pound of the chicken and 96% beef you get at Costco? Chicken for me is $5.99/lb in ~2lb containers and I was getting 96% beef for $4.99/lb until I recently found it for $3.45lb. So I'm wondering if better deals can be had at Costco to make it worth the hassle.
Damned meat is expensive! You'd think it'd be cheaper, considering the poulations of those creatures are in the hundreds of millions or more.

No they don't have them unfortunately. Just a bag that has quite a few in them but overall not as cheap as buying it in bulk. I live on West coast so maybe the supplier is different. Kirkland is the only option for packaged. Oh well im enjoying it this way and its not to expensive.

The chicken is $2.79/pound.
Costco (at least the ones near me) don't carry 96% lean ground beef, so Lisa picks that up at the grocery store when she does her weekly shopping.

Bummer! I guess it's regional. Every Costco around here carries an ample supply.

All the DC Metro area Costcos carry the same chicken packages. So maybe it's a coastal thing.

Holy crap, that's less than half the price. I couldn't read the package in the picture well enough, but does it have that "15% solution" crap or anything similar, or is it as natural as possible?
For that price I could go from half a breast each day to a whole one and still come out for less than the price I'm paying now.

Yep, just the all-natural chicken and ~3% water retained from the chilling process.

Sweet. The difference is so dramatic that the cost of the membership would pay itself off in about 2 months. The savings between my new beef price and this new chicken together save about $50/month. Woot.
Guess I'm off to Costco sometime soon.
