Although I can not confirm it, I heard somewhere that Udo's Choice did not pass independent testing on confirming the stated contents as stated by the manufacturer.
Does anyone have consumerlabs test results or similar?
Again, this is third party info on my part - do not take it as fact please.

Hi John,
I just stopped in as I wanted to see how you were training these days as I think it's time I developed a new program. First off though, let me say that the latest pics of you are incredible! You look great, well done, your dedication and results are inspiring.
I like the look of your latest training plan and think I will follow the principles of it for a while too. I like the the variable reps in each set. I think that will be a nice variation for me. I have one question: Do you keep the weight the same for all sets or increase or decrease it?
[3 exercises per body part, except biceps, calves & triceps which will be 2 exercises per body part (calves will be worked twice per week).
3 sets per exercise.
First three sets of bodypart: 5-7 reps.
Second three sets of bodypart: 10-12 reps.
Final 3 sets of bodypart: 12-16 reps.]
Thanks John.
Take care and... well... um... keep doing what you are doing I guess!?!

Yep, I've heard nothing but good about Udo's, so unless someone has something concrete to offer I'm not put any stock in 3rd party rumors and will continue to use the product.

The weights change from one exercise to the next, but I keep the same weight for all sets of a particular exercise. I chose weights that allow me to do the targeted rep range while still remaining very challenging.

I like cod but the thought of having it for breakfast gives me the puke shivers. How do you prepare the cod?

I douse it with lemon juice, put a little salt and a lot of pepper on it, wrap it in a foil pouch and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes (depending on thickness).

In honor of leg day I snapped a couple pictures of my quads before my workout.
I'm 7.9% body fat in these pictures. I'm starting to see some separation. By the time I hit 6% body fat they should be etched in pretty well.

yeah your wheels are looking pretty good, John. Do you shave them? or are they naturally hairless? just out of curiosity because my legs are pretty hairy and the thought of shaving them doesn't jive too well with me.

I've never heard anything negative about Udo's.
I wouldn't use Udo's Oil blend of omega-3, 6, 9, because it doesn't have the right mix of fats that I'm aiming for in my diet. Omega-9 is a nonessential fatty acid (your body produces enough on its own) Most people, myself included, consume plenty of omega-6 fats (corn oil, sunflower oil, etc.), and comparitively low levels of omega-3. I try to eat more ground flax seeds, green leafy vegetables, and fish to try to balance it out.
Wikipedia currently says this in an article:
Omega-3 and omega-6 compete for the same metabolic enzymes, thus the omega-6: omega-3 ratio will significantly influence the ratio of the ensuing eicosanoids (hormones) , and will alter the body's metabolic function. Metabolites of omega-6 are significantly more inflammatory (esp. arachidonic acid) than those of omega-3. This necessitates that omega-3 and omega-6 be consumed in a balanced proportion; the ideal ratio of omega-6: omega-3 being from 3:1 to 5:1.
I'm not sure how Udo's blend is balanced, but even if it's within this recommended ratio, that doesn't compensate for the rest of my diet (main culprit: peanut butter). Of course, those with different diets would consider different supplements.

I go back and forth. I'll go through phases in which I'll wear steel-toed boots, and then I'll go to the opposite extreme and workout barefoot. I don't know why I do that. I seem to like to workout barefoot more when I'm cutting, and favor the boots when I'm bulking. I don't put any thought into it, I just go with however I feel.
