I've been feeling pretty lethargic in the hours leading up to my workout these first couple of days of my "refeed" diet (which are low carb). I've had to force myself to get in the gym and do my work out, but once I get going I've been feeling surprisingly strong and energetic.

This just goes to show how good our bodies are at adapting to all kinds of different circumstances, and underscores the notion that failure usually occurs at the mental level way before the physical.

I took a new picture tonight. I'm about 10.5% body fat in this picture. Slowly but surely I'm getting my abs back. Another 12 pounds of fat loss should really etch in my mid-section.

Calm down my friend! The owner of the site was really cool. I'm sure he would have removed the pictures if I'd asked him to. I told him he was free to leave them up if he would just provide a link letting people know the source of the images. I'm fine with where he placed the link.

I'm truly flattered by how protective some of you are over me. It's like I have a bunch of really cool brothers and sisters looking out for me.

Everyone keeps asking if the negative comments bother me. Not in the least! I don't have anything against any of those people. It's just the Internet.

The lower bodyfat% is really showing off the mass you managed to add to your delts this bulk.

I love this photo!!! You look totally great in it. I know you are terribly busy and this is probably the last thing you want to add to your plate but you mentioned in the past you might update the Café Press T-Shirts, etc.

I would love to have a black t with this picture silk-screened on it... I keep thinking about a logo that says "I'm a Stoner" and underneath "JohnStoneFitness.com" but I wonder if I am being too sensitive about possible interpretations Drugs seem to be a much more serious problem these days compared to when I was a youngster. I mean back then, drugs were known as purely recreational, heavy stuff was not around until the '80's like cocaine and then for most people when the got it that it could be addictive... most people of my generation just quit.

But drugs seem to be much more of a real lifestyle for a lot of young people (I mean by a lot... certainly a lot more than were around when I was young.) And so once, the irony of saying "I am a stoner" when being a stoner was in 99% of the cases merely a fun thing so it would be a joke that would provoke a chuckle.. I am not sure today.

But I still would like to wear a black t-shirt with that pic in front with Bold white script large letters that say

I'm a a Stoner!

With maybe on this back this picture of Guava with her list of healthy foods strung around it, like the words framing it and the words "eat healthy, lift heavy" across the top

Guava may ask me to take this down, which of course I will honor... but it is her profile picture of the moment ... one h*ll of a picture

I'm pretty sure Guava can kick my butt.

I have been part of this site for about a year and a half now and never not once has while looking at John's pics did I ever say to myself "Wow he is a porker!" Some of the stuff they wrote was downright hilarious!

I also think people went to John's rescue because without this site, many of us would not even have turned to exercise and nutrition in the first place. So, even though I have said it before, thanks John.

Refering to his photo shop skills. Sorry I should have spelled it out. And it's not really an inside joke I just made it up

you got it. This place really means a lot to me, and I definitely get worked up when I see it trashed. And as far as I'm concerned, when they are talking down about John, they are saying it about all of us. It's a good thing we're so civilized here, because otherwise ...

Oh, and that latest photo, kicks ass. guava's too

The funniest thing was reading that John's transformation could be done in one year. Suuuuuuure. We all know "how" it can be done in one year. Forget that s*\t.
John is surely looking his best ever, I agree. He keeps amazing me.

Wow--thanks everyone!

Justitia, I appreciate the kind words and the suggestion, and the new designs are being worked on, but I can tell you right now I'm not at all comfortable putting my picture on any of the merchandise. It just strikes me as extremely cheesy and self-aggrandising. I can't do it.

I've also never been wild about the "Get Stoned" slogan. Maybe it's because I was a pothead for over a decade, and it hits a little too close to home for my comfort level.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! It feels great to shed this post-bulk fat!

Great new pic John - to me you always look bigger and better in the more candid/unofficial shots you post in this thread than in your monthly updates. I guess it's because these shots are more "3D" (for want of a better word).

Anyway keep it up
