I hope I don't sound ungrateful but I've been seeing ads at other sites for the loaded Titan selling at $4499 including shipping. That's a little less than the price quoted on this forum. There also seems to be a new model out with linear bearings for $200 more. I just wanted to get some info on JSF prices before I call Fitcore directly.
|
Thanks for your patience. I just spoke to Brian with Fitcore, and a couple of resellers are offering a free shipping special right now, which made their final price (including shipping) $50.00 less than JSF's total price. This is not the fault of Fitcore or JSF, and something those companies have elected to do. Of course I will honor the JSF guarantee! I have reduced our shipping costs to $199.00, which places the total JSF price for a loaded Titan below all the e-tailers currently offering free shipping. Of course you also get the free gifts and Platinum membership upgrade.
Thanks again for bringing this to my attention.

They are on parts like the Smith Machine carriage. Honestly, I don't think the upgrade is necessary. The bearings on the stock machine are like liquid.

I having been doing a lot of research for home gyms and this site has been great (I'm new). The TITAN seems to be the best machine out there that I have seen. I am concerned with the process of having to set it up and break it down repeatedly. I am a U.S. Marine and I have to move every 3-4 years. With this in mind.....is this the right product or would I be better off with something else?

The Titan is very heavy, and does take a fair amount of time to assemble. I'm told by Brian and Lee (of Fitcore) that they can now assemble the Titan in a fraction of the time it would take someone who's never done it before. I guess practice makes perfect.
Would the Titan have to be shipped from one location to another, or would you move it yourself using a big truck? If you have to ship it from place to place, I definitely wouldn't recommend it. I don't know how you could ever re-pack it properly, and the weight/shipping expenses would be crazy.
You could always call Brian or Lee and run the question by them, as they might have some additonal thoughts.

It would be shipped and packed, along with everything else I own, by a professional moving company....and it doesn't cost me a thing....the government pays for everything. So I am not concerned with cost or for that matter the way it would be shipped. Even though it would not be repacked the same way it arrived.....I could make sure it was packed properly....make sure they pad wrap all the components and such. I am confident it would arrive safely at the destination. Thanks.

Good deal. Transport was my biggest concern. In that case, I think less than a day's labor every 3 or 4 years would be worth it for a Titan.

Hey, I'm thinking of getting one of these machines, can you tell me if the smith machine can be locked at any height, is it pin stopped or do you hook it on by turning the bar like a true smith machine?

Yes, the smith machine handles rotate to lock and unlock. They can be locked at any point on the gun racks.
PS - Your post has been moved to the Titan Information thread. The review thread is for reviews and discussion amongst current Titan owners.

I've been extremely pleased with everything I have read so far, but I guess my main question is this:
I've always gone to public gyms in the past. Am I going to have to change a lot of my exercises if I get the titan? or is it truly a commercial gym replacement?

While no single piece of home exercise equipment could ever replace a gym full of commercial equipment, I've never seen anything that comes as close as the Titan. Everything from the build quality to the sheer number of exercises one can do has never left me wanting.

Just read the reccomendation on the first page that the room be 10'x12', unfortunately my room is only 8'x15' . Guess the Titan won't be an option for me.

Hi Qumbz. Just FYI the 10 x 12 recomendation is based on the ability to add option A (cable cross over). If you were willing to forgo this, the dimensions you give would be doable. The limiting factor room wise without the cable cross over or HPB option is simply the seven foot Olympic bar. With your room you would have 6 inches on each side to not bump the ends of your Olympic bar on the wall while lifting. Also, it will be a tight fit when you transition from the front to the back of the machine. But then again you would have the most comprehensive workout machine on the market. Food for thought anyway.... Good Luck with whatever you decide to do!
Regards,
Brian

John still offers the lowest advertised price on the internet. We still accept the JSF discount code to give you the best price possible. John also has the best flat rate shipping price I am aware of. If you have more questions feel free to PM John or call us at 888 FIT 5557.

Hey Demonseed. Keep at it and your ultimate workout room will be complete before you know it! I'm excited to see how this all turns out! Hey, just to keep you with the times, the old name Conan is kind of phased out. Unless you purchased a couple years ago your machine should be a Titan Im just giving you hard time....you can call it anything you want as long as you get it set up and start cranking out some serious workouts on it!
The information you have on the two new options are true. The T-Bar Row was created as a direct result of John Stone himself suggesting and giving input to it. In fact we may keep his initials in the designator of this new option to give credit where credit is due. You can thank John for seeing the need and bringing it to our attention! Anyway we hope to have some more details out in the coming weeks for all who are interested. I know most will really like these....so keep your eyes peeled!
DS, if you have more questions you can submit directly to support@fitcore.com Technically Marko and the gang in Europe deal with that market while we help the folks in North America. Keep the questions/suggestion coming everybody!
Regards,
Brian

We thought you all might like an early look at a couple of new options that will soon be available.
Below are a couple pictures of the new T-Bar option.
Here's a video (Quicktime) showing how flexible the grip system is, allowing you to create just about any grip position you like: tbar_grip.mov
Here's the T-Bar in action: tbar_use.mov
Finally, here's the new seated calf press: calf_press.mov
