That's a riot! You're looking big and strong though! After this bulk, you're going to be more than ready to step on the bodybuilding stage. Better ask Santa for a posing suit this Christmas!

Thanks, but I don't think there will be any competing in my future. I've thought about it, but competing just doesn't have any appeal to me.

Actually it's even deeper when I'm not out of breath. Remember when Jeremy Likness interviewed me?

I wouldn't want to do it every week, but the music made for a fun workout. In today's update I said:

I posted thanks to Chris (1FastGTX) in his thread for posting pictures of his dogs and I just want to pass them on to you. I grew up really never having anything to do with dogs and pretty much was afraid of em. As I grew older I slowly lost my fear yet was never really comfortable with them. Now, hugely thanks to JSF dog owners postings I am really appreciating my mates dogs, they are incredibly fun and cute. I don't think I would have gone this far were it not for all you guys and your dogs. So thanks John and all other dog owners here!

I listened to it and found out you played Quake!
I used to be quite the Quake (1) player myself, and totally recognize the 'cheater' replies, the comparison of bot use/steroid use is right on the mark! (I doubt I'll ever get steroid remarks though )

I love Quake 3 -- still play it sometimes online. But yeah, anybody who has played awhile is familiar with the typical response: omfgz0rz!!111 u r n00b wiht h4x. go die.

It was great to hear your voice. I totally didn't expect a southern accent type twang going on! Maybe you don't sound the same in person. Were you born in Florida?

I've lost most of my twang, but I guess I subconsciously let an occasional "y'all" slip out now and then. I was raised in Texas, so that's where I get it from.

Actually we never decorate for Christmas this early, so this was a first. Usually we don't decorate until at least a week into Decemeber. We finished fall cleaning yesterday and decided what the heck, why not?

You don't like my virgin skin, huh?
I rarely say "Y'all" anymore, but I guess I still do sometimes. I haven't lived in Texas in over 15 years, too!
Youse guys up in New Yawk have a happy frickin' holiday, too.

Tonight was my favorite workout of the week: Biceps and Triceps superset workout! Since this is my last workout before I change exercises around, I decided to up all the weight and really go for it. I managed to increase my reps from last week on most exercises even though I was using a heavier weight. I had lots of energy and felt great. I don't think I've had a single workout since I started bulking that I would consider less than "excellent". I'm so fired up about this bulk that I look forward to every second I can lift and, folks, that makes all the difference.
I have some new pictures and... oh no... ANOTHER VIDEO. I think I may have created a monster with yesterday's video. Also, someone wrote to me today and said that I didn't look as big in that video I posted yesterday as I do in my photos, so therefore I must doctor my photos. Well, dude, I didn't have a pump in that video, and I was totally relaxed and not flexing like I do in 99% of my photos. So tonight I took a video in which I DO have a pump and I AM flexing. To the guy who wrote to me: grab your bag of pork rinds, kick back and enjoy. I hope you like it.
Oh, I know my posing sucks, but what else is new? I had a good time and that's all that matters. Caution: my lifting music is cranked in the background. You've been warned.
Here's the video. It's very short (WMV format, 2.27 MB): http://www.johnstonefitness.com/imag...2005_poses.wmv
Here are the photos (I'm coming up on 18 inches with a pump!!!!)

Hopefully the knowledge that my arms were just 13.75 inches a little over a year ago will be encouraging to you.
