Wait... LOSE weight, and ADD muscle?? That is the most ingenious thing I've ever read! What a concept :d_eek: With his plan he could achieve this in 2 days probably too... I wont laugh too hard since he was probably baked when he said that.
Their comments on that site about the matter makes me realize how much everyone here is in the 'upper echelon' of fitness knowledge

I believe you and I are in the same boat!
A big huge yacht!!!!!! Wanna get lunch then hang out @ the pool?
People only hate what they can't have/do/be.
We have a lot of things others wish they could have. They don't like to see someone else be so successful. What they don't realize is that trying to cut me down, or cut you down, in the myriad of ways in which they have attempted and failed miserably, only serves to further reinforce just how successful you and I are.
So, instead of insulting us, they really only serve to add what it is that they hate, and that is us being successful.
Oh well, let 'em be...........I've dealt w/that for the last 5 years, but I don't let it get to me anymore. I used to, but hell, there simply is NO TIME TO these days.

You know, I don't think your body style/ muscle tone/ makeup looks like it's all roided out. I would think you would be even bigger if you were juicing, but that's just me.
Plus with all the pictures you take, I'm pretty sure you would have taken pics of sticking a needle in your a$$ somewhere in there. Just kidding!

WAIST, not hips! Chris does indeed have a great lat spread. That guy is a monster. Not to take anything away from him (cause I know from discussions he works his butt off), but I bet the unlimited supply of Nitrean helps.

NP, just being honest. I'm starting to work on more thickness there now too (even though I'm cutting lol). Deads are good, but they take a lot out of ya. Plus my shins have scabs on them right now.

Haters
Hey John!
Yeah, I had someone send me a very similar PM over at Bodybuilding.com. Hehehe... it's definitely a sign of jealousy. Plus... it goes to show you the advantages of natural bodybuilding. When you train hard, and stay disciplined, you don't have up and down musculature. You keep your muscles, and you don't have to keep injecting gear to keep yourself in good shape.
If a guy's on roid cycles and he hasn't made any appreciable gains in over 2-3 years, then something is terribly wrong. Anyone who weight trains for more than a year and doesn't see any gains obviously needs to review the fundamental principles of gaining muscle mass:
Skip's Article on Gaining Muscle Mass
The gains John has seen is nothing less than a testament to his discipline and consistency regarding exercise, good nutrition and sufficient rest. It's just that simple.
So shake off the haters, man.

Yeah John, you must be off your head caring about your fitness and not how to grow weed like this guy.
Of your head? Off with your head I say!

From what I know about steroids (admittedly very little), I totally agree. Believe it or not I was accused of using steroids by several people at this stage of my transformation because I had a bruise on my arm:
YEAH!!! Just look at that physique. Obviously that's the body of a steroid user.

No, you're damn right I would! I even took pictures of what's in my fridge and freezer one time. Nothing's off limits when it comes to pictures... (looks over at Lisa)... well, almost nothing.

SwoleCat & Abdominator,
Thanks for the awesome posts. I'm way over the crap people like to dish out. It's jealousy, plain and simple. Back when I had no confidence I questioned myself and everything I did anyway, so those kinds of things really stung a lot. These days I *know* who I am and what I've accomplished. Over the years one thing I've learned is the type of people who bring themselves up by insulting others are usually sad, unhappy and lonely. With that in mind, it's hard to take anything they may say to heart. Some of the stuff is good for a laugh, but mostly I feel bad for them because I used to be negative like that. It's not a fun way to be. My hope is that after they are done putting me down, they take a look around and something sparks their desire to make some positive changes in their life.
Skip, you were one cute baby.

Tonight's workout was very good. I started off with 4x12 barbell presses and felt fine. Next was 4x12 incline barbell presses. I started to feel a little pain in my right shoulder after my 3rd set of incline presses, so I substituted 4x10 decline barbell presses for my next exercise (was supposed to be chest dips, and they kill my shoulders). I finished up with 4x10 cable crossover (standing upright, lower chest). Ab work was the same as last week.
My shoulder feels fine right now, so I'm pretty happy. Generally heavy pressing moves are very hard on the shoulders, so this is a good sign.
Tomorrow is cardio only, and Friday is leg day. I'll make the call on Saturday on whether or not to do my delts workout. At this point, I'm thinking YES!

Is it me, or have you been upping your posts on the forums lately John? To me, thats very encouraging news. I post on anywhere between 4-6 forums simultaneously (ie, throughout the day) and sometimes ill drift more into one hobby than another, subsequently posting less on the other forums.
just good to see you kicking around the old post counter here lots
