Default Dealing with big legs

So I've got big legs and they keep getting bigger! Now, as great a problem as that, how does anyone find pants?

Bigger waist measurements give you a bigger pant leg (the clothing companies assume that if you are big in your waist you are big in your legs), but my legs are bigger than my waist would suggest.

For my suits, I get a larger waist size and then get them tailored so that the waist comes in, but what about regular dress pants and jeans?

Any tips on finding jeans and dress pants that I don't look poured into?

I've yet to find anything myself. I now strive to wear shorts as often as possible. I HATE tight jeans.

Dave Tate and Jim Wendler recommend getting jeans at Buckle.

If a pair of pants doesn't fit me in the thigh, I usually just go up a size or two and then wear a belt. I don't think anyone will really notice unless you tuck in your shirts.

Well, I DO live in TN but my shorts-wearing days are numbered for the year.

I hear you on the tight jeans. I don't want to look like the kids I want to beat up.

Same here, I am incredibly uncomfortable in pants -- so I wear shorts all year round. I'm like that hippie guy on that show "Dual Survival"; I wear shorts even in the winter time when it is snowing. I even wore them outside in Montana when the temp was 10 below zero! Got some really weird looks to say the least

There are brands that are more classic cut. The trend these days is to slimmer legs etc. Which is fine if you have pencils for legs.

No idea what you can find locally but unless you are extremely off the charts the classic stuff should work. If you are too big for the classic fit then made to measure is likely the only option.
