Default Workout questions...

So, I've been following max-ot program for about 1month, according to them, anything higher than 6reps for muscle growth is useless, and each muscle should not be trainning more than once a week.

Then a new trainner at my gym appeared, and I started to talk to him alot. He showed me alot of things, especialy about MOTION, I realized that almost all my movement were wrong,and too fast. then he suggest me to follow is actuall trainning, wich consist of;

4days a week, each muscle once a week, EXCEPT for tricep and biceps wich he does twice a week (monday and friday) and doing reps like this:
12x
8x
6x

I asked him why 12 8 6, I've been doing 3x6 all the times with max-ot, and according the them, anything higher than 6reps for muscle grow is kinda useless (except for lower body)

So he said the idea behind this is the fill the muscle with blood with the 12reps. I must admit that when I finish a workout doing his method, the muscle I trainned is really filled with blood...

But I wanted to know if thats really a good method for bodybuilding, I know its different for each person.. but overall..

btw, the "trainner" also have a killer shape, thats why I wanted to give his program a shot, but I've found those 2 thing kinda weird.. (high reps, arms twice a week)

On the surface it looks all right. I am firm believer in the 8-12 rep range for muscle growth, with 6 and below good for strength building. As to the muscle once a week, some people swing that way, I don't.

The point there are many ways to skin a cat. Most of us think the way we do it is the best way or we would use that way. Stick with him, learn form and etc. He won't lead you far astray. The proof is in results, you should see something in a month at most.
