I decided to start my blog on here to be able to write my thoughts about my current days workout and food. I am sick of being fat, and am making a change. I started on Monday January 5, 2009 at 275lbs. Follow me as I progress toward my goal of 210lbs and 7% body fat.

Day 6

This is my first post here. I have tried many different programs to get back into shape. I always start and have no accountability and then quit when it gets too hard or I get too tired. So here we are 12 years out of High School and 11 years removed from being 210lbs and 6-7% body fat, and I am 270lbs. I have 2 sons who i can't play with because I can't keep up with them. I have a 3rd boy on the way. My wife has been worried about my health for months and I have been worried about myself. The final straw with my health was when I needed to kneel down to get something from the floor. For the first time in my life, I was not able to get back up to standing without finding something to use for support.

So 2 weeks ago I decided I needed to do something. I set out to getting info on proper diet and nutrition and started planning my food. I dusted off my Power 90 dvd's and then this past Monday, January 5th, I got up at 5am and popped the first disc in. It was difficult and I felt like I was going to die, but I pushed through that and then ate very well, and tracked everything on John's spreadsheet. Needless to say, at the end of my first week of the rest of my healthy life I am feeling much better. I have lost 5 pounds.

When I need to kneel down for something I am able to get back up to standing with no difficulty. My knees aren't hurting anymore, and I have had a lot more energy. I can feel the strength coming back into my arms and legs and it feels amazing.

Well, I guess that is all for today. i will post again tomorrow when I take my measurements for the first time since starting my transformation.
