Maybe it was the evil Atkins curse. Nothing wrong with your chicken, but barbecue sauce is high in carbs. That's why it's so hard to clean off the oven. It turned into something like that candy apple coating.

This sounds like a story that I would write. I've had dozens of kitchen adventures like yours. Thanks for sharing. I like knowing that I'm not the only one that does stupid things with my food.

Just yesterday, my eight year old dropped the bottle of ketchup, but I was lucky this time. Only about 3 square feet to clean.

I might as well have bought live chickens and just butchered them on my counter......it would have made less of a mess.
