View Full Version : Maintaining after Cut

I still have not reached my goals, but I wanted to go ahead and get this question out there to see if anybody had an answer from reading or personal experience.

Right now, I am trying my best to eat 5 - 6 times a day (work sometimes gets in the way).

When I finally get down the weight I am looking forward to, and the physique that I'll oh-so love, can I take the meals down to 3? (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

See, where I am working, it is almost impossible to have my "snacks" during the day, so if I could safely maintain on 3 (just bumping up the calorie levels) it would make it much easier to plan my meals and stick to eating healthy and proper.

Thanks for the help!

Even though it may be difficult, I would try to stick with the 6 meals per day versus the 3. The whole idea behind the 6 is that it keeps your metabolism fired up and your blood sugars leveled out. If you just go back to 6 your metabolism will SLOW and you will probably get more urges to overeat due to elevated and spiking insulin levels.

There is no sense in undoing all the progress you have made thus far. Remember being healthy is a journey not a destination. Don't swerve off the highway and park at the 1st rest area. --Yes, I know its a bit cheesy, but I find that thinking like this really helps keep me focused and keep my objectives in perspective.

Best of Luck

I also find it really hard to have six meals a day. Keep it up after you reach your goals for the reason two step said and its also better for your digestive system.
