View Full Version : Finally got some comparison shots
Carrie35 November 7th, 2004, 12:46 AM I have not been very good about keeping a visual record of my progress...but today I went to visit a friend who had just had a baby and got a photograph snapped of me.....I compared it to some head shots I had taken for work last July and was pleasantly surprised at the difference.....I thought I would share here.
I started in late June at 222 pounds, the photo of me in the red shirt was taken mid July....probably about 218 or so. The photo with the baby was taken this morning at 197 pounds. I am never going to be a super thin woman...I gain both muscle and fat very very easily and my LBM is at about 135 pounds...so there ya go!
Ansett November 7th, 2004, 02:11 AM Great progress, looking good! What is your program?

Thanks! I know the pictures aren't great....but hopefully you can see some difference.
I am basically doing 40 minutes of cardio 4 days of week, two days of full body circuits and eating between 1500-2000 calories a day.
My goal now is to change up my workouts a bit....add another day of weight training and splitting them up.
I don't pay a ton of attention to my macros and have been struggling with my diet as of late...so that will need a work up as well.
HobbesAB November 7th, 2004, 11:18 AM Congrats on your progress so far. You can see a difference between the 2 pics despite the different angles.
Good luck on the nutrtional aspect. I don't have any problems working out 3-4 times per week, but I struggle trying to eat properly all the time. Curse those sausage/ham/extra cheese pizzas!

Yeah, the angles are funky...sorry about that! I have just spent so many years avoiding the camera that I never really got up the gumption to take proper progress pictures. The picture of me holding the baby is the first photo taken of me since July! (and actually, he was taking it of the baby, I just happened to be holding him :d_rolleye )
Hopefully I will have better ones in the future.....once I get rid of my camera phobia! I think losing several of my chins might help! :o
Knubb November 7th, 2004, 11:55 AM Yeah, the angles are funky...sorry about that!
To me, the different angles actually highlights the progress you're doing. Taking a picture like the one with the baby, looking downwards, will make your chin really big, and looking at your pics, your chin looks bigger in the first one.
You are a beautiful woman, and I don't see any need for you to be camera shy. Keep up the good work Carrie.

Thanks Knubb! I am getting more confident by the week....we can be our own worst critics can't we?
jRS November 7th, 2004, 08:28 PM Big difference! :tu:
ara2003 November 8th, 2004, 03:27 AM Good job, looking great.

Of course, but that's why I'm here (and I'm guessing a lot others too). I want to be able to be proud of what I see in the mirror, regardless of what others might say.
guava November 8th, 2004, 04:49 PM Thanks Knubb! I am getting more confident by the week....we can be our own worst critics can't we?
We can be our own worst critics, but we can also decide to praise ourselves.
I imagine you will regret having not taken more photos of your progress. Start now, take a full body photo of yourself in a bathing suit or workout gear. You don't have to show it to anyone, but you'll be that much more pleased with your progress if you can look back to the points where you've been.
You've made a big change in yourself, and it shows. Thumbs up. :tucool:

John Stone November 9th, 2004, 11:20 AM Great progress, Carrie! I agree with Guava - get some full body shots (you don't have to post them, of course). Pictures will prove to be very motivational as you continue to progress; I think you'll regret it if you don't take them!
Keep up the hard work, and keep us posted - you're doing fantastic!
Iced Earth November 9th, 2004, 11:21 AM Great job Carrie!
Pretty soon you'll need to carry a bigger stick to beat those Austin guys off of you!! :D
Looking beautiful!

From your mouth to God's ears! :)
Actually I have noticed an increase in the flirting department these days....I don't know if it is becuase of my increasing confidence or decreasing wasteline! ;)

I still kick myself for not taking a before picture. Man, was I a wimp back then... do it! Trust me!
JoeSchmo November 12th, 2004, 03:42 AM You are noticeably thinner in the bottom picture for sure. Congratulations on your success! :claplow:
