View Full Version : Pizza it is...
John Stone November 5th, 2004, 08:38 PM Well, I'm gonna deal with the bloat and have pizza tonight. :)
(if you didn't read today's Daily News update this post makes zero sense).

Bluestreak November 5th, 2004, 09:36 PM Ya gave in, huh? Enjoy. My cheats are being greatly reduced to help the wife out (she's training again!). I'd kill for a thin crust from the little Italian joint down the street with that thick sliced pepperoni... I'm cheating vicariously through you for today...
I'm going to go have a protein shake now. :d_tongue:
John Stone November 5th, 2004, 09:46 PM Yeah, I figured that my normal cheat meal is Friday night so why change it? :) So I'll look a little bloated for tomorrow's pictures (on top of the fat I've added)... that's cool: I'm happy with how I look and very happy with how my bulking progress is going. The next few months I'm going to be considerably more soft looking than I usually am, and there's no point in being ashamed. Hopefully everyone will understand that I'm on a mass-gaining mission!

taffer November 5th, 2004, 11:28 PM if i was going to cheat i would probly have oats + whey, or some fruit.... im a complete weirdo though
i just got a new brand of oats (i usually buy the cheapest brand) and they taste so much better! now all i wanna do is eat oats.... i think i am starting to cook them better too (usually i just eat them raw!)
i do have a question for your john, was it hard to start incorperating weekly cheats into your diet, i know im too obsessive to do it, and the closest thing to a cheat i have is 3lbs of vegies in 1 sitting (although i do like vegies :D) i always think "ok i lost 1.5lbs this week, thats perfect...if i cheat i wont lose as much and it will add up...." and so on
i'll be looking forward to seeing your pics tomorrow, it will just make your cutting pics looks better anyway :D
Emilio November 6th, 2004, 06:40 AM mmmm pizza!!! Oh god I can't wait to get home. My father has an italian restaurant down in manhatten and we have imho the best darn brickoven NYC style(read: thin) pizza... oh man I have been dying for some good pizza for a while now.
- Emilio
ps - can't wait to see your progress pics!
Emilio November 7th, 2004, 12:02 AM Hot Damn John! You are really looking great. Makes me worry about when I get my goal weight of 180lbs. My concern is that I will look more like picture a than picture b even. Guess its something to keep in mind.
Thanks for the Inspiration!
Emilio
rob0t November 7th, 2004, 02:45 AM i don't see the 'bloatness' that you're talking about. esp. when the picture is next to that jan. 6, 2003 pic. :d_smile:
John Stone November 7th, 2004, 11:58 AM i do have a question for your john, was it hard to start incorperating weekly cheats into your diet, i know im too obsessive to do it, and the closest thing to a cheat i have is 3lbs of vegies in 1 sitting (although i do like vegies :D) i always think "ok i lost 1.5lbs this week, thats perfect...if i cheat i wont lose as much and it will add up...." and so on
That's the same mentality I had while I doing my initial weight loss. I didn't want a cheat meal because I was so focused on my goal. I don't see anything wrong with that, but some people need to have a cheat meal once every week just so they don't quit. It's really up to the individual. Once you reach your goal you'll probably want to allow yourself a free meal once a week. It won't hurt your physique, and in many ways the cheat meal is very helpful: it helps replenish your glycogen stores, the nice carb boost helps energy levels which leads to better workouts, it keeps your body "aware" that food is plentiful, and so on. In answer to your question, I had no problem eating a free meal once per week after I reached my goal.
When I cut again after my bulk I will continue to have a weekly cheat meal.
John Stone November 7th, 2004, 12:00 PM Thanks for the comments everyone. I was a little bloated when I took my monthly pictures (holding about 2-3 pounds of water). I don't care. :)
Rob0t you are right: next to my starting picture it's no so bad!
TheRyanator November 8th, 2004, 03:04 PM John,
Hope you enjoyed your cheat!! You still look great in your progress pics...man, what a transformation from when you started...I would never think you were the same person!
I actually was at a concert on Friday night and the thought came to my mind during the opening act "I wonder if John ended up having chicken or pizza tonight?" I laughed under my breath...thanks for answering that question for us!! My wife asked what I laughed about and I told her "nothing, long story" ...
...First rule of JSF:...HA HA

Oh, thanks a lot man... I just spit water all over my keyboard. I'm totally serious. You caught me off guard. You actually thought about what I was eating for dinner while you were enjoying a concert with your wife?! That strikes me as exceptionally amusing.
Actually my keyboard is getting a good dousing lately: that's the second time I've spit water on my KB in the past 24 hours. It happened yesterday when I first learned of the saga of a certain lost frog. Him name is Hopkin Green Frog (http://www.lostfrog.org/). God bless Fark.
Thanks for the props and the belly laugh.
joecan November 8th, 2004, 03:28 PM I am not above having a cheat meal, but if you can't wait for pizza, try the new Lean Pockets Ultra Supreme Pizza. I know there is another thread on this, but I had my first on Saturday and another one today for lunch. The specs are good and the taste is great
TheRyanator November 8th, 2004, 05:05 PM John,
Glad you got a kick out of that...I thought it quite funny as well. I do apologize for your keyboard...
It WAS during the opening act, which was not such a great one...the thoughts boredom produces I suppose. The rest of the concert was great though.
Take care.
JKulp42757 November 15th, 2004, 12:51 AM My cheat meal is usually Sunday...but because of the PPV Boxing, it was Saturday this week.
This weeks cheat meal was worth 2 or 3 cheat meals with the amount of fat/calories I digested.
If you like Pepporoni pizza...this is one that can't be missed. I wouldn't recommend it more than once every 2-3 months, it's very unhealthy!
1. Start with the crust & sauce of your choice.
2. After adding sauce to crust, Add one layer of pepperoni covering entire pizza
3. add 8oz of combo mozzerella & chedder shreddded on top of pepperoni.
4. Add another layer of pepperoni on top of cheese.
5. add 8oz of combo mozzerella & chedder shreddded on top of pepperoni.
6. Add 8oz of smoked gouda cheese (shredded) on top of mozzerella & cheddar.
7. Top with 8 additional pepporoni.
8. Cook for approx 12 mins...450 degrees on pizza stone, or directly on rack.
9. There you go... 1 1/2 pounds of cheese & 1/2 pound of pepperoni! Enjoy!

Well, it's been over a week. Does anyone know if the kid found his frog?
