Ok so, when I first started here at JSF fitness over took everything, it was my no1 hobbie, it was all I ever thought about.
I basically got what I wanted out of my fitness, then I outgrew my weights, I just scraped enough money for a new set. All was good, then I outgrew my bench, I also need a excercise bike because I want to do cardo but I need other things really badly and I have no space in the house for a bigger bench and a bike.
Went to join the gym by my house, walked in there and both of the reseptionists looked at me like I was stupid or something, wankers.
Of Couce there are other things but those are the main factors which have all just left me so unmotivated.

So have you guys ever felt really unmotivated?.

Skoorb November 1st, 2004, 04:11 PM Yep, my motivation has been like a rollercoaster ride over the past decade. Even when it's in the pitts I still regularly work out, though I have gone months and months and months on end with no gains at all (just no losses, which is half as good!). Currently I'd say motivation is about 65%. For a while this year it was around 90%. The thing is, people get bored. Unless it's part of your job, the only person you're really working out for is yourself, and as with cars, computers, stamp collecting, etc. everything goes in waves of interest. Sometimes I have a real drive to workout and be fit. Other times I have no drive, but I do it anyway because I know that I "have to".

Basically, I walked in there and asked for a gym membership form, the one I was talking to just paused and looked at me and then looked at the other for like two seconds and then the other just handed me a membership form.
Walked out herd my friend laughing and I was like "what's funny" and he just said "Did you see the way they looked at you" (Although this is the mate that laughs at me and takes the piss all the time for being in to fitness)

Maybe it's his age? It says he's 15.
That's my biggest fear about joining a gym, too.

Sounds like you could use some goals, use everyone around you as a motivation. The receptionists, fat people, dorks, whatever gets under your skin. The change in venue is a good idea, working out at home day in and day out can tire your mental clock.

Never thought of that yeah, A change of a venue would be so great, Also, I think it's the equipment I have to use. My bars are like scaffolding and they give me calluses which make it really painful to lift the next day. I really think joining the gym would be a good idea. Maybe starting a new routine too.
Cutting back down to 10% bf is going to be a bitch, so that's my 1st goal. Ok So, Until I get my bike or join the gym what's a good form of cardio?. Except Jogging.
Just hope my drive will come back.
