I stumbled upon this forum approx 2 weeks into my journey towards better health... thus far I've learned quite a bit from the posts here. Yesterday, 10-29-04, was the 4-week mark for me eating 'clean' , hitting the treadmill 3-5 days per week, and lifting weights. Whew, lots of new stuff. Anyway, here are my before and after pictures.... still 50lbs or so (putting me at 205ish @ a height of 6') that I want to lose - but it's only a matter of time! From that point we'll see what else I need to do. I've always been big, so I've got no idea what I'll find once I lose 'the weight.' :D

Excellent progress in a month...Think what you can do in 3 months :D

But don't get discouraged if your progress slows from the first month.. It's normal and your really burning fat after the first month..
What you really notice is inches and the way you look more then the weight falling off..like the first month

Great Job!!

I am actually anticipating the slow-down in overall 'loss.' But I'm of the mindset that the 'weight' itself isn't the important issue. It's the body composition that really matters. So, I'm gonna keep at the diet & exercise regime... and see where it takes me. Hopefully to a bulky 200lb'er! :D

Awesome progress bigdawg! The amount of weight you have lost is impressive for one month. Your stomach has (obviously) gone down a lot. Keep eating clean, and working out, and you'll get there! How tall are you? What does your diet look like? Gotta get that metabolism going to burn your bf quicker! Keep us posted on your progress!

How tall are you? What does your diet look like?

I'm 6' on the dot. As far as diet.... here's an example...

Breakfast : Kashi Go-Lean, 1/2c 1% milk, apple...
Snack : Banana & Walnuts
Lunch : 2 cans Tuna, 3/4c 1% cottage cheese
Snack : Mozarella stick, Kashi TLC (Tiny Little Crackers)
Dinner : Chicken breast w/ mixed veggies or sweet corn
Snack : 2 Tbsp Natural w/ 2 slices WW bread
Before bed : 1/2 cup cottage cheese

That's a fairly typical day of stuff for me... although sometimes I'll start the day off with 3-4 egg whites & WW Toast w/ a glass of milk. On Workout Days I replace the last snack with a Protein shake. I'll also eat lean beef, good cuts of pork, cod, salmon, etc - with Organic Pasta... so it varies from day to day. Any hints / tips?? Lately I've bumped the calories to around 2100-2200 per day.
