Keep your cals in check, and you can adjust a little here and a little there. One piece of bread won't kill your progress, nor will a tablespoon of mayo. You might be better off without them, but you'll just have to ask yourself if you want perfection, or if you're alright with going slower than the fastest you could be able to.

What's wrong with whole wheat bread?

Are you cutting? Try "Just 2 Good Mayo". It's low cal, low fat, and as far as I'm concerned, tastes just fine.

Mayo is highly debateable as good or bad.

If you look at pure mayo, it has high fat, but it is polyunsaturated fats for the most part. Pure mayo doesn't have HFCS and a bunch of other crap in it either.

If you are on a low fat diet, its probably not good. If you aren't, its probably fine.

Don't go w/ miracle whip though, its got tons of crap in it.

I have always been a big fan of mayo. I didn't eat hamburgers etc. without it. After seeing a post on this site, I tried Hellmann's Just 2 Good and it does tatse like mayo. It isn't as creamy, but it does the job.

The breakdown for 1 tbls:
KCAL 25
Total Fat 2g
Sat Fat 0
Cholestrol 0
Sodium 120g
Carbs 2g
Sugar Less than 1 g
Pro 0g

I use 2 tbls to make tuna salad, egg salad, ham salad and turkey salad. I am trying to gain weight and not lose any, so this does make a difference. I am also not worried about my cholesterol since my bad cholesterol normally stays in 50 -60 range, even after eating junk (which I don't eat anymore) and taking a physical within three hours.

I can eat tuna plain, but would rather use mayo.
