I am going to try some Optimum whey since it's such a great value. I used to use chocolate and blend it with ice, milk and a frozen banana. I was just wondering how the chocolate mint and chocolate flavors taste. Trying to decide which to order first. If I get chocolate, I'll be doing what I used to do, if choc. mint, I'd just mix it with milk and ice. Is the mint horrible tasting or does it actually have a good taste?

i kid you not, the choco mint is the best stuff ive EVER tasted in the nutrition world. ive never had it with milk, since im cutting, but i imagine it tastes even better! i usually mix mine with a half cup of ground oats, and it tastes amazing. ive also taken 2 scoops, mixed it with a small bit of water and had choco mint pudding, and have also frozen it to make quick chocolate snax.

i picked up a 5 lb tub from a guy on ebay(he sells a TON of Optimum protein) for $22.

actually, i HAVE tasted it in milk(the wife just reminded me!). i put 1 scoop, a banana, 1 cup of skim milk, ice cubes, and a tablespoon of natty PB. it was damn good, nice and thick, rich and delicious!

looks like he raised the price to $25, but some other people are selling them for $22 but i dont know how they shipping costs are structured. he sells a BUNCH of stuff, and shipping for anything he sells is $10. basically, you can order 20 tubs of protein, and pay $10 to ship them ALL! get together with some friends, order a ton of protein, and get it shipped cheap! i ordered mine late on a monday night, paid at like 1am on tuesday and had the protein at my house by wednesday morning! he also sells 10lb bags CHEAP!

I got the chocolate and it is great. I would drink it even if I wasn't on a diet. :drool:

Like always, I reommend the chocolate mint from Optimum Nutrition. The mint flavor isn't that prominent, but it makes the chocolate flavor tast more like what you'd expect out of a chocolate bar (or, at least something that you aren't taking for your health).;)

On a somewhat unrelated note, I just purchased 5lbs. of Chocolate Whey from "All The Whey" (har har) per John's recommendation. I'll be sure to post my results once I get my order.
