I've had trouble being able to put on weight (lean mass or otherwise), no matter how often I seem to eat (admittedly, sometimes it's tougher because of my fluctuating schedule).

I'm looking to supplement with a mass builder or meal replacement type shake that would help me add some mass. I've been training regularly for around 7 months or so, and while there is definitely some noticeable difference in before and after, I would still like to add some weight.

Has anybody had any good results with a particular mass builder or meal replacement shake? Bonus points if it's free or cheap shipping to Canada. I've searched the board for existing threads on mass builders but couldn't find anything specific (except for the XXL thread which had its credibility shot down).

Jus,

I have put on 15 lbs in six weeks without using a meal replacement. If you give me an iseal of what your workout routine is, your prsent diet, how tall are you and your present weight, I might be able to help you put on some weight.

I have not weighed this much in 31 years, so something I am doing is working. Just give me the above info and I'll see what I can do.

A good mass gainer? Steak. Serious. To gain muscle, eat muscle.

Yes, eat more steak is not a bad recommendation. I know when I started eating more steak it made a big difference.

Here are some shakes I've tried:

MEGA MASS: This comes in 2000 and 4000, or it did when I took them which was years and years ago. I don't know how good it is as I was very unexperienced then. It looks like a bunch of calories to me...and a lot of carbs too.

MYOPLEX: Decent, tastes gross.

MYOPLEX DELUXE: more protein, still tastes gross.

BEVERLY ULTRA SIZE: Great product, expensive though.

MUSCLE MILK: Best taste by far, might not be the best nutritional choice but it is my personal favorite. I am drinking 2 of these a day right now.

ISOPURE: A lot of people like this, I don't. I got through 3 packs and gave the whole box to a friend. It tastes like a fart smells.

Try these web pages:

This is BB.Com's section on muscle gain supplements.

This is their listing of shakes. Make sure you try the sorting options. You can sort the different shakes by protein amounts, calorie amounts, carb, fat, etc. This is a useful tool.

Also, I agree with joecan -- post more info and maybe someone can help you better.

Prolab lean mass matrix is the only one I would use, and even then only as a last resort.
