The last couple weeks I have been trying different foods, brands and combonations of.
I have one of those pizza ovens like they use in your local corner bar. Recently I tried making 2 homemade Pepperoni Pizza.

I purchased 2 Pre Made Pizza crusts, 1 Bobili and 1 Good Earth cracked wheat. Two brands of 8oz Mozzarella, Kraft Fat Free & Crystal Farms Reduced Fat. Three brands of Pepperoni, Boars Head all nat pork. Hormel Turkey pep. and a Veggie Soy based brand (don't remember the brand.) Contenesa light low sodium brand pizza sauce was used on both pizza

I invited over a couple of friends and on each crust i put the recommended amount of sauce, with 1/2 side fat free mozz the other half reduced fat. I then aranged the roni so that I would have 2 slices of each combination.

Long story short, all the combos tasted great! :)
On a NON Cheat day I could get by with the wheat crust, reduced fat mozz & Veggironi slices, although i would prefer to use real pepperoni.

Other Products:

Kashi GoLean vs. Lifestream Mesa Sunrise Frozen Waffles:
Both of these taste pretty good and have good texture. I think the Kashi brand taste more like the Eggo brand of frozen waffles. I put almond butter and sugar free syrup on them.

Healthy Choice Turkey vs. Morning Star Farms Veggie frozen breakfast patties:
Again, both of these taste fine. The Healthy Choice was juicier and more tender. But the Veggie patty taste less salty and makes more sense. I wash them down with ice cold OJ.

Butter vs. Butter Buds Sprinkles
Butter Buds taste close enough to butter to satisfy me. I've used in on pasta, oatmeal, salmon, corn. I did not care for it on Green Veggies or rice.

Thats all for now,

Boca Imitation Ground Beef vs Ground Beef
I made Tacos the other night using Boca Vegi chunks, the funny thing is it tasted exactly like Taco Bell Tacos, which makes me wonder, whats in Taco Bell's meat? Next time I will try the Morning Star Farms brand of meatless ground beef.

Ground Turkey vs Ground Beef

Sometimes I switch out ground beef with ground turkey in my recipes. If I make tacos, chili, or even burgers on the grill, I find ground turkey to be very tasty. Don't be fooled, however, automatically thinking ground turkey is better than ground beef. You have to check the fat content. Make sure you buy the lean turkey to reduce your saturated fats. As far as brands go, I find Pilgrim's Pride to be a little more lean and tastey than Jenny-O Turkey Store. Just personal preference.

Another tip:
Apple Sauce vs Crisco
Whenever a baking recipe calls for shortening, like Crisco, you can use apple sauce. Use the same amount as the recipe calls for shortening. You will hardly notice the taste difference and it's a lot more healthy.

A lot of fast food places, unless they specifically state "100% beef" can legally put a certain percentage of soy in their meats and still call it "beef." McDonalds puts soy in their beef patties.

I always get the 96% Fat Free Beef. My WalMart has it next to the sirloin. I eat it so much that the other stuff (chuck, etc..), just taste nasty to me now. I use this for Burgers, pizza, etc...

Total Fat: 4g

Yep, it works good too! I know brownies are not good for you..but sometimes I must have them! I make them with unsweetened applesauce instead of oil. They are good...my wife (who doesn't even try to eat healthy) actually prefers the applesauce brownies over the regular.
