Hello!

I have been cutting for nearly a month and about a week ago I got some Protein Powder from Aussie Bodies (Im an Aussie :D ) and I started having the powder in Skim Milk as said on the product once a day, usually after a workout or with a dinner that doesnt satistfy my daily protein intake.

My question is, is it alright to use the protein shakes while cutting? I have been told by several people that they make you put weight back on! Im an in no way very educated in supplements, so I am very confused on who I should be listening to..

It's fine. Be sure it helps you meet your daily nutritional needs and doesn't dump you way over (like Mega Mass 4000 lol), and you'll be fine.

if you substitued that whey shake(though i don't know it's nutritional content so don't take this as a rule) for some carbs during your day, i'd say you'd burn more fat.

A. less blood sugar because of this
B. Protein is a thermogenic of sorts I guess. Someone else can explain this better, but your body only burns about 70% of the calories from protein. Not too sure what happens with the rest but definitely not body fat.

I have cut 25lbs and all the while have been drinking protein shakes. Thing is I make mine with water and they are post workout shakes (1 scoop ATW protein isolate and 2 scoops of Kent Nutrition Dextrose). I personally try to get as much of my protein from real foods as possible. Your mileage may vary though.
