View Full Version : Yet another "which protein supliment" question, but for a different reason!
Jingo February 10th, 2004, 05:58 PM Hiya's!
I just threw away a tub of protein i've had for a while. I bought it over a year ago when i was training properly. It never mixed properly, in water or milk, made me want to throw and i never took it. I just tried it again and same problem.
I know everyone has their own fave company and everyone has their own opinions on what works, that's all pretty subjective.
What i want is one that mixes! is it too much to ask? hehe. I'm in the UK so anyone who's got one over here would be especially handy, tho i'm sure most of the main ones are imported anyway.
andi February 10th, 2004, 06:44 PM I've been using EAS MyoPro chocolate whey, with skim milk. Put the milk in a protein shaker, THEN put in the powder, then shake. Mixes perfectly and tastes pretty good. The first time I put the powder in first, then the milk, and it stayed all clumpy at the bottom.

Just kidding, I like the Optimum and Fitness Labs. Both mix well and taste good. I always buy vanilla so I can add fruits or wheatgrass in with it to make an extra nutritious smoothy.

Greensheep February 10th, 2004, 07:14 PM Jingo, the only reccommendation you'll ever need.
Nutrisport 90+ Strawberry, excellent blend of Whey Isolate and Caesin protein. Mixes like a dream in the blender.
It's manufactured in the UK, great quality and a good price. It goes for about £60 for 5kg, this will last you approx 5 weeks on a typical fat-loss plan.
I get mine from www.sportsnutritionx.co.uk, i also get my glutamine from there. I think its free delivery for orders over £50 and 10% discount for orders over £100. An they always throw in free vitamin C, lol.
Before you ask, no i dont work for them ,lol

zamboni February 11th, 2004, 02:15 AM Invest in a good blender. Drinking protein that's been mixed with a spoon will always taste like lumpy warm vomit. "Instantized" my ass. Shaker is quite a bit better, but blenders will always do the trick.
NME February 11th, 2004, 01:11 PM Zamboni has the right idea. Blenders make life a lot easier (at least as far as protein shakes are concerned).
That said, I still recommend Optimum Nutrition as my personal favorite overall protein shake (for mixability and taste). That may change when I get my order from "All The Way" but that remains to be seen.
Jingo February 22nd, 2004, 06:59 PM Had to dig this thread up as i remembered i never thanked Greensheep :)
I bought some of the strawberry from sportsnutritionx and it's great, it reallyt does taste nice (not just, i can live with it, actually nice) and there's no noticable floaty bits or lumps or whatever, i actually look forward to my shake now instead of dreading it!
I bought £60 worth, so tell them you got them some business next time you order :p

Greensheep February 23rd, 2004, 02:52 AM lol, good to know you like it. I'll be stocking up for my post Easter bulk soon. think I'm gonna go stupid and buy 10Kg at once, lol. Then I can get my 10% discount!
