Here is my question, now since the above was on Jan 15. and as of today I am at 142lbs, should I drop my calorie intake by 100 ( 10*10 ). so i will continue to burn more fat?

since it was only 2 or so weeks ago, id stay with your current dietary intake and not adjust the cals. if you go over 2 weeks without dropping a pound, then its time to re-evaluate your diet and/or workout routine. if you are concerned you are eating too much, add a minute or two to your cardio routines during the week and it should help, but i highly doubt you are at a plateau!

After you notice that your weight loss has slowed or stopped, I would recommend staying at that calorie level for 1-2 weeks. Doing so will allow your body to rest and replinish nutriets (which can often become deficient even on the healthiest cutting diet). This rest period also helps to get your metabolism fired back up as it tends to lower with dieting. After that 1-2 week window if you still have weight to lose reconfigure your BMR based on your current weight and then subtract 300-500 to start losing again.
