Well, these the first pics I've shared of my progress.
Consider me still a bit nervous.

I started in March of 2002 by limiting myself to 1500 calories/day. No exercise, no "clean diet", just 1500 calories. Granted, I did start leaning towards "better" foods since I learned quickly that junk foods consumed a lot of my daily calorie allowance and left me still hungry.

By January of 2004, I had lost about 85 pounds. Everyone kept telling me I was "skinny". I couldn't figure out how I had lost so much weight yet still wouldn't be caught in public with my shirt off. Around this time is when I discovered JSF and read Tom Venuto's E-book. I realized that by doing no exercise, eating an unclean diet, and practically starving myself, I had lost 85 pounds, but almost THIRTY SEVEN POUNDS OF LBM!

I started a clean diet in February and after acquiring my equipment, began a regular lifting schedule 3 days / week in March. By August I had made significant progress, but was looking for something "more". Swolgenix caught my attention so I gave it a shot.

The final picture is my current state, after about 11 weeks of SGX. I started cardio 7 days a week with a 4 day lifting split. I've made great progress, but I think it's pretty obvious what my biggest problem spot still is... I hate that spare tire!

Right now, I'm taking my first full week off since February. My back, shoulders, and ankle have been bothering me, and I'm downright exhausted most of the time. Hopefully, I just need a recharge.

This has been an exteremely long and difficult journey; one that certainly is not over. I wanted to share my story and get some feedback.

Also thanks so much to John, Jeremy, Swole, Tom V. (even though he doesn't post here that I know of), and to a lot of others on this board for providing invaluable information and motivation. :tucool:

Incredible change. Great job!

It probably couldn't hurt to rest the parts that hurt for a week. Try to ice the body parts to help healing. Just do light cardio like walking or biking to stay active.

Wow! You've been faithful to your goals for a long time and that's no easy feat. It really shows. Awesome job and keep at it (after your well deserved recuperation, of course) :tu:

The spare tire is so hard to get rid of, but look at the progress you've made all around, and in the gut area in particular! Overall definition is looking really good. :claplow:

That's fantasatic change. The most amazing part is the numbers from your pics! Did you know that between April and now you went from 115 pounds of lean mass to 125 pounds of lean mass? That's 10 pounds of muscle gained on top of your fat loss!!! Amazing!!! Go tell that to some of the people who say you can't gain muscle while cutting!

Slush: WOW. I guess I hadn't done that math. When I first read your reponse I thought, "that can't be right!"

I went back and double checked my numbers from my spreadsheet and sure enough, they're right!

Well, my week off was a smashing success... I gained 8lbs and it all went directly to my gut .

I feel a little better, but not nearly as rested as I expected to be.

Truly amazing progress!!!!!!!

That spare tire you´re speaking about is obviously about to disappear doing what you´re doing right now. To me it looks alot like loose skin, rather than actual fat mass, so I guess if you just give it some time, it´ll tighten up by it self. I have a similar problem myself :d_redface .

Again your transformation so far is absolutely amazing!.
