I am cutting and was wondering if it was ok for me to snack on chestnuts. They are cooked and have no artificial flavors and no addatives. Based on the nutritional info they don't sound too bad. And they taste great.
let me know,

My diet software (alos- who knows how accurate) says this for 1 oz chectnuts:
1oz= 104 cals, 1.4 g protein, 22g carbs and 1.1 g fat
versus Almonds:
10z = 169 cals, 6.2 g protein. 5.5 g carb and 15 g fat
I prefer Almonds but it all depends on your dietary needs and goals. Just remember that 1oz is not a lot, a small handful (about 20-24 almonds). SO several handfuls a day won't help you. :eat:

I love chestnuts, I can eat 4 pounds in one seating :)
Anyway, just wanted to share that chestnuts tend to swollen your belly alot. If you measure yourself, allow 2 days after eating them. I can gain 1.5 inches in the belly after eating chestnuts that in 2 days I lose them again.

Especially if you eat four pounds in one sitting... :whistle:
