So I'm 2 weeks into dieting and almost 1 week into training. Obvioiusly I'm still early on and would like to make sure I start off on the right foot. I know that for fat loss I need to make a mild caloric deficit, but I'm not sure how much of a deficit to make.

Here's an example: this morning I weighed 209.6 lbs, that means the minimum calorie requirement is 209.6 * 10 = 2096 calories. Today I ate 1919 calories. 2096 - 1919 = 177 calories in deficit -- is that too big of a deficit?

The lowest I've gone was: weight = 210.5, minimum = 2105 calories. Consumed 1895 calories. 2105 - 1895 = 210 calories in deficit.

Am I doing more harm than good, should I eat a bit more?

I think you are about right...
what most people recomend doing is reduce the diet in small increments and watch for changes...

maybe try reducing 50-100 cals per week untill you find a good weight loss rate.
but I don't think it is good to go more then 500 cals below...

but I am a novice - so lets here what others have to say... :D

thats perfect man.. stick with it for a few weeks.. try not to dip below 300..

unless you find it really just isnt working.. but than youd have to take a look at what foods you are eating, what sources are your carbs/fat/pro coming from
