Adam and Jess October 19th, 2004, 04:18 AM This is the official challenge thread of Dakz and I. I am not aware of his goals yet but here are mine. I am currenly 253. I would like to get down to 200 by March and be pretty cut by then! I'm 6'1 and have big bones. Lets see what you got Dakz! BRING IT ON!

I am currently just eating healthy and exercising every day.
I plan to lift 3 x a week and do HIIT the rest of the week. I might take Sundays off depending on how I feel. Somedays (like today) I will kitesurf and count is a cardio day though

dakz October 20th, 2004, 11:56 AM I got mine from www.mybodycomp.com. I donīt think they are that accurate but it gives you an approximate idea of where youīre at.

Oh god, I dont know. Im really ashamed of the way I look since I have some stretch marks on my body :( :( :( :( :( but I'm not sure, maybe once a week? what do you think Dakz.

dakz October 21st, 2004, 05:48 PM Iīd say we should judge on the weight loss. The one who manages to loose more lbs wins! What do you think?
I planned to take measurements + pics once a week - I guess I will post them here as well.
How are you progressing Adam? Still motivated? Are you counting calories or just watching what you eat?
Adam and Jess October 21st, 2004, 06:03 PM not counting calories, but watching what I eat and when I snack its on healthy foods like apples, celery, fat free crackers, etc.. I hit the gym yesterday and did SERIOUS arm work! I feel awesome.
I plan and taking measurements also but not sure where to do them. I'll try the website you suggested just to see what its all about.

better still i dont see the need to post more than once a month....taking pics too often...for some people at least...might get them discouraged if they expect to see more than is really there, for challenge sake anyway.
If you wanna take 'em every week for personal reference go for it.
anyway...once a month minimum...we do need something to judge by after all :tu:

dakz October 25th, 2004, 06:49 AM Hey Adam! pretty good! I am developing good eating habits and donīt feel hungry all the time anymore.
I went partying on Sat. so Sunday I took Sunday off. It is very windy here so I will go kitesurfing instead of hittind the gym this afternoon. :jumping:
I havenīt seen any improvements regarding my weight since last week :mad:
Adam and Jess October 26th, 2004, 02:04 AM Same with me. I havent taken a before picture, but I'm working on it. I see no difference on my size, although I have dropped a pound or so. I hit the gym hard today and felt super good!

dakz November 16th, 2004, 02:38 PM I finally got my memebership on the gym next to my office. :tucool:
The fact that the gym next to my house was so far away was holding me down a bit since it took me 15 minutes to drive each way and I am working long hours lately. Now I can do my workouts sometime during the day and feel great afterwards..
The new gym is a lot nicer as well, with loads of TVs and pretty girls to keep you motivated :drool:

I am making some progress here, have lost 5 lbs already! My next goal is to loose a couple more before X-Mas and keep that weight till 06/01/05
I want to enjoy my holidays :eat: but donīt want to gain weight during those 2 weeks so I will need to add some extra cardio those days....
I still can not see a big improvement in my pics but do feel a bit lighter and stronger. I am making progress with my lifting.
My biggest problem is food intake, I just havenīt been consistent as I should have. I really need to focus on planning my meals ....
How about you? Are you sticking to your plan?
Adam and Jess December 5th, 2004, 06:14 AM I'm doing fairly well. My gf and I came up with great meal plans for the week where we break down all of our calories and intake using the 40/40/20 plan (40% calories protein, 40% calories carbs, 20% calories fat) and we've stuck to it fairly well. I was 250 lbs friday morning.. started at 252 monday morning. So hopeully, by next week, I'll see the 40's for the first time in about 4 yrs.!! :D :D :D
My body has been tightening up and I feel my strength has increased dramatically. i arm wrestled a couple of my friends, and BEAT THEM! I never beat them before, but now i can :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

I am doing extensive research now to get a system that will work for me. but we'll start a new one, preferably right at new years. I'll even post up a picture of me :p :p :p hit me back

c`mon I know this is hard to do, I have been through tough times these past weeks as well. X-Mas is over and a bew year has strated now.
Time to set up new goals and get serious!
I actually gained 3 kg during the holidays. Itīs going to take a lot of sweat to get rid of them now but I have already started my new diet.
Here is my plan:
Monday 45 min jog back & biceps
Tuesday 20 min HIIT Abs
Wednesday 45 min jog Quads, Calves, Hammstrings
Thursday 20 min HIIT Abs
Friday 45 min jog Pecs, Delts, Triceps
Saturday 20 min HIIT
Sunday bike / kitesurfing
For cardio / HIIT I run at the beach first thing in the morning before breakfast. I have to do a lot of business travel but will be checking in at hotels with fitness centers so I will be able to work around it.
As for nutrition I am aiming for 1800-2200 kcal /day split in 6 meals. I am not concentrating on a low carb diet, just making sure that I eat complex carbs and looooots of fruit & vegetables.
My goal is to drop 10 kg in 12 weeks.

I posted a few times my workout plan and meal plan but i never followed through on them. when i get back to school and away from my parents house, I'll be able to start again and do it the right way this time..! You can start again today, and still do well.
Nothing but junk food around the house to eat? Then eat it, but just eat less.
No gym nearby to workout? Then do jumping-jacks, push-ups, sit-ups and "up-downs" for 45 minutes each day.
You may not be losing fat at full efficiency, but you'll be making progress everyday between now and school.
If you don't take on this attitude, what's going to happen after you get yourself in shape, and then return home from school again? Are you going to wipe away all those gains?
Adam and Jess January 10th, 2005, 04:48 AM well velocity the thing is, I didnt go at it with 100% determination like I should have. i have been speding a few hours a day researching supplements, foods, excersizes, aerobics, etc.. and came up with something both my gf and I can do no matter if we go to the gym or are at home or our parents house or whereever. The point is, Im not giving up 100%, I'm not splurging on junk food (by the way, my parents are health nuts and eat practically birdseed but my gf's house is full of good stuff to eat!!! :D ) I dont over induldge on sweets, fast food, etc. I'm still eating pretty good but not working out. Give me one more week to do some more reading and next sunday or rather monday will be the beginning of the end.. end being the disgusting blob which I am..!
