View Full Version : Do you guys look this way?
tan_pao_wei October 17th, 2004, 12:07 AM Hi its a "before" and "after" pic but, it's before eating and after eating.
I am quite satisfy with how I look in the morning when i wake up however after the first meal, I would look like the "after" pic all day long and i have to wait till the next day to have that "lean" look again.
Does it happen to me only because I still got a lot of body fat or even people like john who has low bf% also look like this after a meal?
If you guys don't mind can post pics of yourself when you look good and "fat" the next moment.
jgmx October 17th, 2004, 01:51 AM are those the before and after?? like just after one meal??
in the mornin i look a little bit leaner but my diference isnt that much...
tan_pao_wei October 17th, 2004, 03:41 AM Actually they are about 2 weeks apart but since then my bf% and weight is the same. But it's what I go through every morning and after the first meal.

Yes, it's common to just about everyone, when you're asleep, your body is fasting. As you go about your day, it's normal for your weight to fluctuate as you eat, food takes time to digest and where does the food go, in your stomache

I can get bloated with certain meals but more importantly ... two things ... you're going to want to start moving your back/rowing movements to the beginning of the week and the workout, and do slightly more volume than chest. You are also going to want to start stretching your chest more thoroughly. On those side profile shots, you don't want to see upper back - that is proper posture. Your shoulders are pulled forward and we can see your upper back. That is a combination of tight pectoral muscles and weak back, specifically your scapulae and lats.
Work on it!

Thanks Jeremy!
But regarding "You are also going to want to start stretching your chest more thoroughly", what you mean? You meant stretch it more whenever I got the time or during the workout for the chest?

I would stretch it minimally 3 times per week. Do some warm ups like jogging in place and punching and swining your arms for a couple of minutes, then stretch that puppy.

Why move rowing to the beggining of the week ? Just curious. :)

Skoorb October 18th, 2004, 12:07 PM I always look better in the morning. Taking this lesson to heart I actually go out of my way to skew calories later in the day when I'm going to the beach. A full stomach looks like a fat stomach. Rest assured that the pros are not going on stage after a breakfast at Ihop. Their stomachs are basically empty.

Amen. I'm always happy in the mirror in the AM and less happy in the PM.

I expect you meant to say "flat". :D Anyway... yeah, on contest day, my wife had only enough water to wash her food down, and her food was (and this was all day long!) one piece of fish for lunch and one rice cake with peanut butter an hour before competition.

Noahf October 19th, 2004, 09:11 PM I'm the same way - in the morning I look great, but after eating my stomach sticks out a bit...unless I flex in which case my abs are flat regardless.
Would you generally measure body fat before eating?
