Yeah!!! I finally got the elusive "Under 200 Pounds"! 198 this morning! For a woman who has been over 200 for the past several years this is a big psychological boost for me. I have noticed other little changes, definied and bigger leg muscles, armpits that are actual pits  , sizes changing, more stamina, but quite frankly (and I know the scale should be your last measure of success) crossing this hurdle is pretty darned exciting!

I have still been religiously going to the gym, but my eating habits had slacked off a bit...this was the motivation I needed to get back on track!

yeah i know that feeling.. Had a cold a few months back which oddly enough everyone in my family was telling me i was looking thinner..(even though i missed the gym for 2 weeks and eat junk). When i recovered, a few days later i measured myself... last weigh in was @ 207, i was hoping to be in the under 200 lbs region, or at the very least not put any weight back on and make any progress null and void.

Checked.....

198lbs..

Bloody brillian :D

No Specific weight...I had thought about 145...but according to my BF% (caliper method) I am approximately 135 lbm....which seems a bit high to me, but also makes 145 seem a bit unrealistic. So I am aiming to be healthy, fit and have no belly! :)

Next thing to get excited about is getting into a pair of size 12 jeans...haven't seen those since college!

You can do it! My wife recently made it to size 12 jeans. In fact now she can even wear my son's size 32 jeans. She had been secretly trying them on for the past few months and she got them on the other day and went parading through the house shouting "I can wear Justin's jeans!!!".

Excellent! My mom's been prodding for the 200 mark for me for my birthday (Oct 31st), since a few weeks ago. I knew I wouldn't get down that far, but that's her problem, not mine. I'm happy with my current progress (although I'll be jumping up and down happily once I know for sure that I'm definitely under 200).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but in my quest for information regarding the water content of body fat deposits, I read that 'body fat' is generally composed of 75% fat and 25% water. So if that's the case, for ever 3 pounds of actual fat you lose, you'll lose one pound (off of your lean mass tally) of water that was trapped within that fat.
