Just curious, why there are some people who have a good muscle but looks fat? the muscle is so big, when they wear a t-shirt they look like a fat guy? (they look like a hulk)

is there any different in training or dieting with the man who have a lean, trim muscular body ? (like john) :tu:

thx ;)

I've seen some of these people at the gym... Alot of them have been working out for years so they have good muscle mass, but their body fat % is high because their diet is crap...

Ususally this people have a huge mid section which makes them look fat, but you can still see good shape on their huge arms...

Dieting combined with exercise is the key to developing the body you want. Keeping your bodyfat low is what keeps you looking trimmed.

Just my opinion.

Big difference between bodybuilders and powerlifters.

Powerlifters are not nearly as concerned with their bodyfat as bodybuilders. Powerlifters want strength. Powerlifters eat enough food to not canabolize their muscles. Bodybuilders understand that to lose fat, you have to lose muscle; and to gain muscle you will gain some fat. You just try to minimize the negative effects with proper diet.
Additionally, bodybuilders and powerlifters are hitting different execises. Powerlifters spend much more time doing compound movements. Isolated exercises are not the goal. Compound exercises definitely build muscle mass, but the idea of scuplting that mass like a bodybuilder is not the concern. Lifting unbelievable weights are.

If you work out your abs, but don't work out your transversus or other core stability muscles, your abdomen will protrude (stick out), and you'll have a big, round gut even with 6% body fat. You see this a lot in professional wrestlers and others who train almost exclusively for size.
