Hey guys,

I was just wondering how nutrition and weight routines differ between men and women. I've read some posts with info. on what to eat (when losing fat) and when to eat it but I was just wondering if too much protein etc. might be different with a female. Also, with doing weights. I go to the gym with my boyfriend and have learned everything I know from him but I have also heard that there are certain exercises that women should stay away form that might be a must for a guy.

Any suggestions?

I am unaware of any differences in diet or types of exercise. There are indivdual difference in weights used and calories.

Never heard of any differences actually needed.

I assume you've been told things like "squats will make your ass look fat", "bench-pressing will give you a manly chest", and the like? It's horse****.

You don't have enough testosterone to bulk up like a man would. At the very worst, heavy lifting will add minimal amounts of muscle, while strengthening and tightening your current muscles.
