First I would like to thank John for this excellent forum. You all have provided inspiration and motivation for me to put together a program inspired from the information provide here.
Here is bit about myself.
I started 3 years ago using the body for life principals. I achieve good results. I went from about 230 to 200. I have maintained the weight through today. After the BFL, while I continued to hit the gym each day, I haven’t committed to my diet, so I haven’t seen any additional weight loss.
I turn 41 in November and I want to change my diet and workout program. I will adopt the MAX/OT program for weight training. I feel that the principles for the MAX/OT fit into my schedule. I will try to follow the 40/40/20 program for food.
Here are my obstacles.
Drinking: I like to have drinks on the weekend. I see that this kills my progress.
Solution: I stop drinking except for the holidays through the end of the year. I may also consult help to see what the root of my drinking is.
Eating: I will stop all simple carbs. I have a problem munching on this sh*^.
Solution: get it out of the house and replace with veggies.
Planning: If I don’t plan for the week I set myself up for failure.
Solution: Plan, Plan, Plan
Motivation: To try to stay motivated I will continue to read this board, you all are the best!
So my journey will start on 10/22….
I appreciate any comments.
Thanks
