Hi,

I've been doing cardio everday for a little over 2 weeks now (lifting weights too, but not everyday) and i'm confused about my Bodyfat %.

I was looking through the forums and found Mybodycomp.com and Healthcentral.com to get my body fat %.

on 10/9
Tanita scale: 18%
mybodycomp:13.4%
didn't know about healthcentral

Then today 10/12
Tanita: 16.5%
Mybodycomp 15.19%
Healthcentral.com 12%

So in 3 days i went down 2% with my tanita scale and up 2% with mybodycomp???
healthcentral is in a world of it's own 12%?

For mybodycomp, my measurements are almost exactly the same except i lost almost a cm in my stomach area, but it went up still.

Anyone have any ideas, cause i have no idea what my BF% is anymore.

post a pic and maybe some of the more experienced people around here can give you a pretty accurate number.

As far as MBC and a Tanita scale goes, I wouldn't trust either of them that much. Try copying any given profile on MBC and juggle the numbers just a little. If I take away 1 cm from my waist I gain 0.3%. If I take away 1 cm from my abdomen, I lose 0.8%. The tanita scale will be even harder to use. Unless you're in the exact same state, the same level of hydration, food in your belly, and so on, you'll get quite varied results as I know it. I've also encountered BIA readers that actually never used your body's resistance to calculate anything, but simply used an easy formula based on the height and weight you put in.

I couldn't find the healthcentral test, but I assume it's something quite similar to MBC.

I say don't trust these things, go by how you look and feel, that's the most important.
