I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I am looking for a nutrition shake (protein and carbs needed) that has little sugar and no sucralose, stevie, aspertame, etc. It seems every label I read I find a lot of sugar or one of the artificial sweeteners that I have been avoiding. I suppose if there is a protein shake out there that fit's I could add some carb's to it and get about a 50/50 mix. I don't mind if it's powder or pre-mixed.

May I ask why you are avoiding Splenda (Sucralose?)
I think it's fantastic and I haven't heard yet that it kills me. Do you know something I don't?

This is the only report I've found with anything bad to say about sucralose:
http://www.mercola.com/2000/dec/3/sucralose_dangers.htm
For many people that would be enough to keep them away. And if you don't feel you need the sweetness, you might as well keep it out just in case. Personally I NEED it. I haven't lost my sweet tooth yet.

Thats the only negative article I'd seen as well and I summed it up as:
"We don't know if it might kill you yet"
I *DO* know that sugar will make me fat which increases the risk of heart disease which *WILL* kill me, so I figure I'm safer with the unknown.

AFAIK there have been something like 100 sucralose studies over the last 20 years or so, none of which show any harmful effects, particularly in the dosage range at which it's normally consumed.

Out of curiosity, why are you worried about the Stevia ? It's an naturally sweet plant extract as opposed to an artificial sweetner.
No glucomic effect, and you should be able to take unless you have an allergy to ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, or daisies (it's from a related plant.)
Other then some "potential" side affects that were theorized but never supported I couldn't find any actual side affects when I started my research. It's been used as a food additive since the 70's in Japan and Europe without reported problems...
I actually settled on the Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein (Natural) for that reason. (It tastes decent too... which helps.)
