Right so i'm loosing fat for about 5/6 months now.

I've always been somewhat chubby, never overweight.

Looking at stories from the internet, and looking at progress journals i've come to the conclusion that loosing my bodyfat is freaking hard. I'm not just average, the fat just melts super slowly, at times driving me to insanity.

I tried the burnthefat.com method, 2200*3cals/2800cals, carb cycling, ckd diet for some days, 1200cals a day, 2/3 cardio a day. 60% fat ETC.

I don't believe the calorie=calorie out theory, according to my food logs that just isn't right.

Finally I've found the way for me to loose fat, I came to this idea when an old friend of mine told me he lost 50 pounds when he joined a "movers company" or what you call that? :D

Then it hit me! You can do cardio only a small amount of the day, just because it's to taxing on your body.

That's why instead of cardio I drive my bike for 5 hours a day, about 40/50 miles. This burns around 2000 calories on average [I guess].

My diet is like this: 3 days 2200 calories 30% carbs, 40% fat, 30 protein. The 4th day I eat 4000/5000 calories and do a fullbody workout.

Finally I can see results in mirror, every some days my fat depots are getting smaller. Amazing!

I should've just joined a "movers company, or what was that?". Why didn't I ever think of that! Doh.

Anyway this works for me, might not for you, and it's a lot of work. Just wanted to put that out there, take care, get lean :)

i would think calories in = calories out still works....
by drive your bike mean ride a push bike i assume? (40-50 miles in a motorbike in 5 hours is a pretty slow vehicle!)
All i can think is that your cardio wasn't actually burning the calories, what was the details of your cardio?

Hehe no I mean bycicle, we dutch all have bycicles, no bike=no real dutch man :)

I was considered some kind of cardio god on my gym.

45 minutes steady heartrate of 165/170.

Also I tried 45 mins at 120/130 HR.

Tried 10/20 mins HIIT.

Hell I tried 40 minutes HIT/HIIT together.

This is CARDIO training. You may not be using a "cardio" machine in the gym, but you are still doing cardio work. You have just raised the intesity over what you were doing and so are seeing faster results. Just keep track of your body fat percentage and lean body mass to make sure that you are not sacrificing too much muscle while losing the fat.

Well my heartrate is at around 100/110 with 130/160 spikes on hills, isn't cardio only above 130 HR?

For my age 47years old and for weight loss. my ideal HR is between 112 and 122 bpm.. I try to keep mine in the upper 118-124 area..
I'm looking to lose fat while keeping as much muscle as possible.. and this seemsto be the slow way to fat loss but the best way..
