I eat about 1500-1700 cals a day which includes:

55% carbs
20% fat
25% protein

Am I eating too much carbs?
If so, what do you recommend to eat instead?
I'm wondering cause I eat much bread(wholegrain)

That's about the same I've been eating for a while now. It's not too much, and you will loose weight, but chances are your fat loss would be more effective if you dropped the carbs quite a bit.

I think you should increase your intake, cause 15-1700 k cal is pretty low, and will result in loosing mass as well, and you dont want that to happen. 1800-2500 seems to be right on spot for most guys :gl:

I've made some changes in my diet

I'll be eating about 2000 cals

40% of carbs
35% of protein
25% of fat

I think this sounds better :D

seriously %'ages are ok to get a basic diet plan, but if you are losing a good amount of fat on whatever you are doing, stick with it
you may wanna try higher-protein %'ages, or higher-fat, but it really doesnt make that big of a difference

It doesn't sound like too much carbs to me. For myself, a diet that is convenient, and satisying in taste is much more effective than a diet that meets the recommended "ideal" macronutrient ratios. I get about 50% of my calories from carbs, 30% from fat, and 20% from protein.

Unless you are less than 120 pounds, then 1500 calories is likely not enough for you. I expect you will feel better and lose weight quicker by increasing your calories.

Make sure the carbs you do eat are good carbs(low GI index)..
