until one day, a friend of mine introduced me to this incredible site full of great people and priceless information... (yes that would be JSF)
here are some pix of my progress. Please keep in mind that im still nowhere near the shape i would like to be in, but i will get there soon :claphigh: .

The strength you must have in the core must be incredible, and with that frame you are going to be well.... monster is the right word. I wish I had a frame like that. Goodness, that's impressive.

I think that sounds quite right. You look like you have about the same bf% that I got, and I get around 15 when I take tests on the net. Haven't gone for the calipers in a while, but I'm going to do that eventually.
citrixmeta October 13th, 2004, 11:50 PM can anybody tell if this is remaining fat or loose skin?
i cant get a nice pinch of it...but it hangs from the sides as you can tell in some pix.
George October 13th, 2004, 11:59 PM can anybody tell if this is remaining fat or loose skin?
i cant get a nice pinch of it...but it hangs from the sides as you can tell in some pix.
I think it's loose skin, fat would probably bulge more with those shorts.
Duckman October 14th, 2004, 05:19 AM I'd say it's a mix of both.
Regardless of what it is, that is some serious progress and dedication, man! Not only have you lost a lot of weight, but you've actually gained lean mass too.
Simply incredible :tu:
Ludvig78 October 14th, 2004, 06:52 AM I would go for the skin. Happens after major weight loose like yours.

wow amazing....I myself am about 150lbs and 5'9 and I am starting to lift heavy now. I wish i could see such results. Anything in paticular you can recommend to me? I have a hard time gaining and being dedeicated. But i am sticking to it.
citrixmeta October 14th, 2004, 10:36 PM thanks..
i cant give tips for bulking other than keep coming to this site and ask questions. There is a great guide here on BULking. If anything, i know lifting heavy is extremly important ( i think 6 to 8 Reps max is ideal, i think its somewhere around 80%-90% of ur max weight)..
im planning on bulking once i hit the 13-14%BF (once i start seeing some traces of abs)
But i can help ya with dedication :)
just keep this in mind, Every single minute you spend on sculpting your body, either its cardio or weight lifting or passing that nice cheese/pepperoni Pizza.. at the end results it will COUNT!
If it was easy to change your body, everybody would be doing it :tu:
hope that helped.
Jasd October 15th, 2004, 01:33 PM Amazing shapechange!
marked October 15th, 2004, 02:04 PM I reckon quite a bit of those love handles is still fat.
Why do I say this? I too have lost around 100lb, and am 5ft 11in at 187lbs (was 286 at my largest). I have some lovehandles in the same place, and have been calipered to be 16% about 6 weeks ago (it will be less now as I am in training for fitness championship). I know it is lard on me, so I expect it to be on you.
What amazes me is your shape, you have an excellent build and it really is showing through. Keep up the good work and I think about another 20 lbs and you'll look quite shredded with six pack saying hello.
Keep up the good work. Your journey becomes inspiration for lots of other people. :tucool:
Bryon_Sparks October 15th, 2004, 03:44 PM WOW great job I cant wait till I post my first 100lb side by side pic
Bryon Sparks
AJJ October 16th, 2004, 07:35 PM Fantastic! :jumping:
I myself have just hit the 100lbs loss (down to 190 now!) after one year. It feels great, but in no way do I have any of the muscle that you have...
I still have loads of fat hanging off me (stomach, love handles, man breasts) and can only hope that eventually I'll start looking more like you and less like a poorly inflated balloon!
Once again, fantastic :claplow:
Emilio October 19th, 2004, 11:21 PM thanks for the great motivation man! Keep it up!!
gravityhomer October 21st, 2004, 11:30 AM :claplow: Look at you! How long has it been since you been this size? On top of what you've done for yourself, you're motivation and inspiration for many people. You're a public service, get state funding! :D
Cool tattoo, makes you look like a badass.
kmfisher October 21st, 2004, 11:47 AM I think that is a combination of fat and skin. With the amount of muscle you have, you won't have any fat there left soon.
To help with the skin, you can try to drink a ton of water, and possibly lose the fat slower. The slower you lose it the easier it will be for the skin to tighten up.

seeDerekNow October 31st, 2004, 01:53 AM I remember you being one of the original members of JSF back in early '04. We both registered roughly around the same time. I've been following your progress since we've both discovered this site and have to say that I am simply floored. It's people like you who embody the true meaning behind JSF. You've done everyone here proud. Now keep it up and bring it down the home stretch!

You and I do similar weight-lifting routines. 4-5 total working sets, and if I go over 8 reps I try to add weight next workout.
By the way, I think your transformation is one of the most amazing and impressive ones I've seen in a long time. I'm very happy for you! Keep going strong!

John Stone November 9th, 2004, 12:14 PM Wow! I have been away from my own forums for too long. This is the first time I've seen this thread and my jaw just hit the floor! You've done an amazing job of losing fat, and you've still got an awful lot of muscle. If you keep at it you are going to be an absolute beast! Awesome job man.
citrixmeta November 9th, 2004, 04:21 PM oh wow guys, thanks for the great words. it really means alot to me. :)

escher December 2nd, 2004, 01:52 PM WOW citrix! I hadnt seen your picts for a while. i am so impressed and amazed at your progress! Congrats on losing 100lbs, and gaining all that muscle! Great inspiration!
BamaDave December 2nd, 2004, 07:04 PM Congratulations!! Very impressive results. I'm not sure I have seen anyone else lose that amount of weight and come out of it with so much muscle mass. Not much longer and you will be a ripped monster!
AndiMAC December 3rd, 2004, 11:36 PM DUDE, these pics are such an inspiration. You have made such awesome progress. I give you props man cuz I know how hard it is to get there. Im just beginning myself and knowing that other people can change like that is pushing me even harder to get to my goal. Keep up the great work man, you ROCK! :tucool:
fifteecent December 4th, 2004, 03:46 AM Hey man, okay what you have to do is start losing your weight VERY slowly now. If you keep losing at the same pace, your skin will not be able to retract fast enough and you'll be left with a lot of loose stuff hanging off. You're gonna have to eat almost as much as your maintenance so you lose like .5 lbs a week!
uRi December 4th, 2004, 06:13 AM very nice work. you have gone a long way & i hope you just feel better & that you will take your goals with ease.
btw is the jogging going well? or do you have/had knee pain?
you are no tiny guy and the pressure on your knees should have been very high the first weeks/months. at least that is my reason not to run & to go for cycling / rowing instead until i have lost at least 10kg more(sry for the metric system).
citrixmeta December 4th, 2004, 11:35 AM hey fifteecent,
my weight has been going down alot slower since i started, where i used to to drop about 10-15lbs/month, im dropping approx 1-4 lbs month.
ive been eating 2000-2200cals/day since i started in Jan. when i was 305lbs.
Uri, i never had any pain in my knees when jogging, i only got pains after sports (basketball). i stopped jogging for 1 month now (im so sick of cardio), and i plan to continue jogging sometime next year.

So, even when you were 305 you were still only taking in 2000-2200 cals a day? Any reason you did that instead of the 10-12x your body weight?

citrixmeta knows what to do, and has been doing "it" for 10 months. his body is adjusting to his caloric intake and will continue to slow his rate of weightloss. if you look at his stomach, it doesnt look that loose when you consider his initial size.
his progress has been nothing short of AMAZING and is one of the most inspiring stories on the board. keep up the great work citrixmeta!
citrixmeta December 15th, 2004, 05:19 PM before starting my transformation, i did alot of research.
12x my bodyweight seemed alot to me, so i decided to test with 2200cals.
there were some weeks where i was eating as high as 2600 cals, and some lows of 1700cals.
i guess what im trying to say is, you have to be your own "lab rat" and try things and see what works best for you.
hope this helps.

according to my reports, over the past 4 months..
Minimum Weight: 201 lb
Maximum Weight: 222 lb
Beginning Weight: 218 lb
Ending Weight: 204 lb
Average Weight: 209.7 lb
Average Weekly Change: -0.778 lb
i think im headed down the right path. I know im still cutting but i really wanna keep as much lbm as i can. i dont see any reason to reduce/increase my cal intake just yet.
Danny Noonan December 15th, 2004, 05:42 PM citrix, I saw your updated pic and I have to add my congrats! Awesome work on the transformation.
Wanted to ask you, has your routine stayed the same all year? Or did you start out with more cardio days, a different split, etc?

thank you so much.
as far as weight lifting goes, it hasnt changed much (and i think im paying for it now ) :(
i have been doing alot less cardio since winter hit.
when the weather was warmer, i was doing a 3 mile jog on off days, it felt great :)
as for now, i try to sneak in 20 mins ellipctical sessions here and there.
LuFega January 4th, 2005, 10:25 PM Buddy, good job! Body's looking great!!!
citrixmeta January 4th, 2005, 11:34 PM thanks for the kind words, i will skip this months picture update.
next month theres going to be a major change, ive noticed lots of change recently.
I havent seen so much change since i 1st started last year around this time. stay tuned ;)
corbint January 5th, 2005, 12:18 PM awesome new avatar citrixmeta! so give us a hint on the new changes recently... did you make adjustments that are helping with these changes?
citrixmeta January 5th, 2005, 12:36 PM sure thing, since i broke the 200lbs barrier, i decided it was time to reduce my cal intake by a few points.
im going down from 2300 to 2000-1900.
im doing some cardio aswell, 3 times a week, 25mins mild jogging.
i wonder if my LBM will take a hit? what do u think ? :(

wait, you mean to tell me you havent been doing cardio at all yet? you serious?
you may take a slight hit with regards to LBM, but if you track your weight and bodyfat percentage religiously, you should be able to see whats happening and have the info the make any necessary adjustments if needed.
citrixmeta January 5th, 2005, 11:23 PM im sorry let me clear it up.
during the summer , i was doing 3mile joggs every other day.
then i just stopped cardio all 2gther until 1 month ago when i injured my shoulder. Thats when i decided to take a month off from weights, and do cardio 4 days a week.
im back at the weights now, and decided to continue doing cardio 3 times a week.
hope this clears it up

time for some new goals.. project 6 pack
Good job! I think that you should focus on building muscle, maintaning or increasing your LBM now. You have done a fantastic job loosing fat. I dont think you need to loose much more weight.
If you train hard Iīm sure the 6 pack will be possible soon.
Regards!
citrixmeta January 8th, 2005, 11:48 AM my goal was, to lose enuff fat where i would be able to see a trace of the abs, at least the top sections. and then i would go through a 3-4 month clean/slow bulk phase.
but your telling me to bulk now?
thanks for ur post, waiting for ur reply

Yes..I think if your body is a bit like mine it could be better to start thinking about maintaining muscle. Or perhaps even try to increase it slowly.
Because if you try to loose more weight fast there is a big risk that you will loose alot of LBM. And if you loose to much LBM it will not look that good. At least that started to happen to me after I had lost 87 Ibs. So I decided to slow down/stop weightloss.
Of course it should be a very clean bulk in that case. Like if you are loosing weight at 2000 calories/day increase to 2700-2800 and continue to eat clean. And lift heavy weigths and do few reps at the gym. At least that worked for me.
Looking at your pictures I can see that you had a good LBM (and itīs still good) when you started. So I think you should be able to still have a good LBM when you reach your goal. But there is always a risk when trying to loose the last remaining fat and metaboloism is very slow after a long period of weightloss. A change to a different diet and training can prevent that. To continue to decrease calories as a response to slower meatabolism, like from 2000 to 1800 to 1600, will eventually result in great loss of LBM, IMHO.
Best regards!
citrixmeta January 8th, 2005, 03:09 PM well said.
im just enjoying the fact that im under 200lbs for the 1st time in Years!
i will think about my plan, maybe ill continue to cut down for a few more weeks and make some changes. Il also prolly stop doing cardio for now.
my main fear is eating more and getting my big belly back, not fitting into pants etc.. going back to my previous size.
as long as i lift hard and eat plenty of clean healthy foods, that shouldnt happen, right?
Musicguy January 8th, 2005, 04:25 PM You've made fantastic progress! Congratulations. I remember that feeling of going under 200 lbs for the first time, and how good it felt. :tu:

Thank you!
I havent lost any weight at all the last 6 months. But the mirror tells me Iīm still getting progress. When I started to get lower than 200Ibs I realized that I didnīt want to be skinny with low BF. I wanted to have some nice muscles and low BF. And since I realized that I was starting to loose to much LBM I had to change things and start thinking about building muscle.
My weight has been 195-200 for a long time and my goal is to be around 8% BF at 190+. And if I sometimes need to do some bulking to reach my goal itīs ok I think. It will not look bad if you eat good healthy food when you bulk and train hard.
I think you could expect to get low BF with good muscles if you want. Just try to avoid loosing LBM. Use the mirror to check your progress. Loosing weight is not that important anymore I think. If you need to loose some more weight take it easy and slow.

citrixmeta January 8th, 2005, 05:01 PM tell ya what, i will not post this months pic.
ill post a pic next month, and we can judge the progess.
next months pic should tell us alot :)
thanks for ur time, i trully appreciate it
French Spirit January 8th, 2005, 07:32 PM I don't know, citrixmeta. RM Anderson probably has more experience than I do in this fitness game, but I don't think you'll have the problem that he was worried about (looking too skinny). You have a lot of muscle, and your diet and weightlifting routine looks solid.
I don't understand this comment: "Il also prolly stop doing cardio for now."
Didn't those 3 mile jogs play a large role in your amazing success? I don't think moderate intensity cardio will lead to LBM loss.
My 2 cents: keep on cutting, eating clean foods, lifting weights, and doing plenty of cardio.
citrixmeta January 8th, 2005, 09:19 PM you got it, ill just continue what im doing now. we will see what happens next month when we compare pix.
thanks guys
My 2 cents: keep on cutting, eating clean foods, lifting weights, and doing plenty of cardio.

Iīm not a famous expert or scientist. But I have done this myself and learned a bit from mistakes.
A lot of things can happen when you try to loose the last % of BF. Itīs not like you have 2 alternatives. The best possible way or the worst possible way. There are hundreds of alternatives between those 2 extreme options. And lots of them will be OK even if they are not perfect. And most people, almost everyone probably, will use one of those OK but not perfect alternatives.
But itīs always good to try to avoid mistakes. And the slow metabolism that most people will have after a long period of weightloss is something that must be understood and part of the long term plan, IMHO.
To continue to reduce calories and slow down metabolism even more to keep losing fat can hurt LBM more than needed. Thatīs why I am convinced that a period with different training and diet that maintains/builds muscle and inrcrease metabolism will help alot and make better long term results possible. At least if your goal is as much LBM as possible with low BF%.
I can see that citrixmeta has good LBM and great potential. And I think he will look very good when he reach his goal if he can continue to work hard, eat right and avoid mistakes.
Regards!
citrixmeta January 24th, 2005, 01:13 AM hello everyone,
here is a big update with pix.
im currently at 191Lbs, my FaTrack is saying 14% (dont think its true, i just use it as a point of refrence)
im still thinking of i should continue cutting or time to bulk. Maybe those pix will help. :tucool: :tucool:

Barney January 24th, 2005, 02:10 AM Dude thats awsome!!
Hats off to you my man!
Andrew M January 24th, 2005, 06:12 AM As to whether to cut or bulk, I'd say bulk. You've been extremely successful with your inital weight-loss, and a break from lower than maintainence calories would be welcome by now I'd think.
On another point, computer in the home gym, splendid idea.
Andrew.
RM. Andersson January 24th, 2005, 07:23 AM It looks good! I think, as I mentioned before, that a clean bulk could help you get even better. If you do that for 1 or 2 months and then start cutting again it should be possible to hit a low BF% with really nice LBM.
There is also the problem with loose skin. I had a big problem with that last year. Last summer my BF% was rather low. But it didnīt look as good as I had hoped because of the skin-problem. And I think that bulking for maybe 2 months might help you avoid getting the same problem with skin that I had.
But regardless if you bulk for a while or continue to cut I think you will get good progress and that it will look good when you are finished.
:gl:

yirmeyah January 24th, 2005, 09:14 AM Holy crap man....those last pictures look great. You have changed so much. Keep on going, you're an endless source of inspiration. Just my two cents, and I don't know what your goal is, but if you want a six-pack, don't stop until you get there. You look like you've got plenty of muscle, and I'm sure with your body type you can bulk back up whatever you lose in trying to get super ripped (if that is what you're seeking). Either way, you've shown you can accomplish your goals, so just set them and go for them! God bless, Jeremy
Jasd January 24th, 2005, 11:16 AM Just go for the sixpack, you don't have too much fat left. You Will look amazing when ripped to shreds! :tucool:
corbint January 24th, 2005, 12:56 PM absolutely awesome progress CitrixMeta! keep up the amazing progress!
OptimusPrime January 24th, 2005, 02:15 PM Citrixmeta your progress is fantastic! Your traps are huge, what do you do for them? Dumbell shrugs, upright rows????
You are really giving all of us here inspiration and motivation!! Thanks for posting man and keep it up! :tu:
citrixmeta January 25th, 2005, 12:05 AM thanks for the comments,
hey Optimus, yes i do a little of both.
i pickup a barbell heavy enuff to do 8 reps, and do some upright rows, i hold it at hands 6 inchs apart, bring it down and back up to my chin, pause for 3 secs and continue.
when i complete my 8 reps, i pickup some dumbells, sit down at a "L" bench, make sure my back and neck are rested on the bench and i do shrugs till failure.
the reason why i sit down on the bench is because i noticed when i used to do my shrugs standing up, i was moving my neck and back alot and it was not the proper form. The bench solved the problem.
OptimusPrime January 25th, 2005, 08:44 AM Citrix > Thanks for the info bro, i have the same problem as you used to have with the dumbell shrugs, i always seem to get my neck into it...i will try using the bench too. :db:
racdek January 25th, 2005, 12:36 PM Great progress, go on with the good work :tu:
Rene
TheRyanator January 25th, 2005, 01:26 PM Stunning! I am so impressed with your progress...I showed my wife your progress last night because I was so impressed and she made mention that you look much younger now as well as in incredibly better (great) shape.
Keep it up man, cant wait to see you when are all cut up!
uRi January 25th, 2005, 02:53 PM awesome job! the fun part is you are really cutting, most people here would like to look like this after a bulk :d_smile: i'd suggest you try bulking and if you like, it just stick with it. you can always switch back to your old eating / training routine. you sure have a lot muscle potential, go for it if you dare ;)
gl & hf with your training!
rockenmama January 25th, 2005, 02:58 PM Congrats on the progress! Keep up the awesome work.
Pam
BamaDave January 25th, 2005, 05:32 PM Your progress is unbelievable!!! Congratulations!!! Over 100 LBS - that's an amazing achievement. I knew you were going to finish as a massed up monster.
Oldboy January 26th, 2005, 01:57 PM So you do 5 sets for biceps, triceps, chest, etc, and try to get in 8 reps each?
citrixmeta January 26th, 2005, 02:04 PM yes, exactly
uRi January 26th, 2005, 02:28 PM oh btw. i had another look at your pictures today, you seem to have a little loose skin? or are those strech marks at your lower belly?(i know that you can't do nothing against those)
i hope i am wrong with that loose skin, but if i am right, i would say that you should definatly bulk then instead of cutting more. at least a lot people here said that would be better to avoid getting too much lose skin.
citrixmeta January 26th, 2005, 02:42 PM oh btw. i had another look at your pictures today, you seem to have a little loose skin? or are those strech marks at your lower belly?(i know that you can't do nothing against those)

there isnt much lose skin really, but what you see in the pictures are really bad strech marks :(
fatboylvr2000 January 26th, 2005, 02:47 PM Totally unbelievable citrix. I am so proud of you and I don't even know you. Chalk another one up for the people who say "I can't" to see that they can.
Oldboy January 26th, 2005, 03:46 PM yes, exactly
do you increase the weight at all? like in one sitting, not over the weeks
reason I ask is because I too lost a large amount of weight, but I hardly have any muscle, even though I have been lifting. So I think I am going to try your technique, which looks like MAX-OT
citrixmeta January 26th, 2005, 04:04 PM say im training biceps.
to start off i would pickup a lighter dumbell, to warmup.. i would do say 8 reps just to warm up.
take a little breather, and hit the other 4 sets with all i have.. heaviest i can to make 6-8 reps per set.
i take approx 1-2 mins break between each set.
uRi January 26th, 2005, 04:09 PM well if those are strech marks continue, if it is loose skin bulk ;) well i have a lot stretch marks myself (got them when i was doing a lot of sports, it didn't appear when i was fat only got a little worse) and my doc said you can't do very much against it, it's mostly genetical and you should just try too keep your shape. i always like to quote fight club on this:
man you wanna die without any scars? hell no.
;) well don't be too sad about it, you had a great progress & those little strech marks should not let you down, even though your smiley said you really hate them.
soltrain January 27th, 2005, 11:53 PM Battle scars. They will definitly fade as time goes on. I wouldnt be suprised in the future if some majical laser surgery allowed the skin to regrow. I think the only legit think is a tummy tuck which I would never recommend.
Again - awesome job!
Klownpoet January 29th, 2005, 04:58 PM You look great man. AWESOME JOB!!!!!
MAB January 30th, 2005, 01:31 AM Hey Citrix, awesome progress man! If I may ask, what did your diet look like while in the process of losing all of that weight? i.e. how many calories were you consuming per day? The thing is I think I have my excercise routine down, the only thing is I have no clue as to what I should eat or how many calories I should be consuming. Any info. would help. Right now I am down to 193 lbs. from 221 lbs. I carry all my weight in my chest and midsection. I desparately need some direction on my diet. Thanks!
citrixmeta January 30th, 2005, 04:03 AM hey there MAB, congrats on the weightloss.
when i started last year, i was doing approx 2300 cals/day, always with the 40/40/20 combo. 40%carbs 40%prot 20%fat
i decided to drop my daily intake a few weeks ago to 1900-2000 cals a day and it has been working for me so far.
things i eat..
beans
salmon
tuna
oatmeal
turkey
chicken
salsa
lots of veggies
eggs
cottage cheese
bran bran and BRAN! :)
just to name a few...
here is a good example of what i eat during the week, monday-friday

Abdominator February 1st, 2005, 03:13 PM Awesome transformation, citrixmeta! Keep up the good work! The scorpion tattoo is great too. Just imagine what it's going to look like in another 6 months to a year after you add even more muscle mass! We're all very proud of you.
Keep being inspirational, ok?!

citrixmeta February 1st, 2005, 03:41 PM wow thanks so much for the great compliments.
i hope to get some nice solid abs like urs abdominator :)
i just wanna see a trace for now, then time to eat !! i cant live on 1900cals all my life, need to bulk up.
and MAB, once you get your diet all worked out, stick to it, i know you can do it :tu:
you wont believe the comments and looks i used to get when i started my diet
"what?! thats all ur eating?"
"as if its gonna make a diff, ur gonna need to lose like.... 100lbs"
"ur gonna gain it all back anyway, why even try"
gravityhomer February 1st, 2005, 04:39 PM "ur gonna gain it all back anyway, why even try"
Someone actually said this to you? :(
Man, there are some hopelessly depressed people out there.
NorthernExperiment February 1st, 2005, 05:48 PM Damn man! Huge change bro. Great inspiration for us all.
citrixmeta February 7th, 2005, 12:45 PM i was handed 1.8KG of PVL loader Grape creatine this morning.
http://www.pvldirect.com/products/pvl/loader.html
im not sure how creatine will react with my diet, since im taking in 1900-2000 cals a day. Im Hoping it will give me a little boost during my training.
any guesses? or suggestions?
btimby February 7th, 2005, 12:59 PM "as if its gonna make a diff, ur gonna need to lose like.... 100lbs"
At least they were right about that one... But they were wrong if they thought you couldn't/wouldn't do it!
Great job man, it is truly awe-inspiring!
Blender February 10th, 2005, 01:25 PM Haven't checked these threads for awhile, I'm very impressed - you're mere months away from a bodybuilder's physique! This must be really changing your life.

Much respect,

uRi February 27th, 2005, 07:48 AM lean mean killing machine  well i can only repeat great progress. you still want to cut until you see your abs or start bulking soon? oh man. i really want some bizeps when i see those pics... i feel so small, even though i weight more than you

Boy! You are an amazing testimony!
lmnt February 28th, 2005, 03:51 PM Absolutely phenomenal. You've heard it time and time again, but -- wow.
Nico March 1st, 2005, 08:33 PM You're literally half the size you were in the beginning photo. When you decide to bulk it looks like you'll be able to pack on a lot of mass. You've got to be dying to eat big for a few months! :eat:
citrixmeta March 1st, 2005, 08:37 PM u know it nico, you know it :)
i can see it now, steak steak and more steak!!!!
Nico March 1st, 2005, 08:41 PM You're front double bi pose actually looks spot on perfect-have you been practicing your posing with the abdominator?
Have you had much of a problem with loose skin?
Hort March 1st, 2005, 10:05 PM Holy freaking cow- nice work, man. I'm jealous. Never go back!
citrixmeta March 2nd, 2005, 01:03 AM thanks Hort, ill never go back.
Nico, as far as loose skin, its really not as bad as i thought it would be.
i still have some fat to lose, we will see, only time will tell.
my weight has been dropping very slowly for the past few months, i think i would like to keep it that way, give time for my skin to adjust and all.
till then, im still following the basic rules, follow the diet and lift hard.
xero March 10th, 2005, 11:32 AM Hey Citrix, I'm new to this site but I would like to tell you I am really inspired by your progress. My brother has been trying to get me to lose weight for the last 6 years or so, and it wasn't until recently that I decided to finally do it. He showed me your progress and it inspired me to make a lifestyle change. What you have accomplished is unreal! I am so excited for you that i can't wait to do the same. I started about 2 weeks ago and tiped the scales at 380lbs, 2 weeks later I'm now down to 364.2lbs! I'm lucky to have a brother who loves and care's for me enough to stay relentless in trying to get me to lose weight. I'm also lucky to have some true friends that are being really supportive! Unfortunately I am getting some negativity from people who I thought were good friends, but I'm trying to take their negative energy and turn in into something I can use by telling myself that they just want to see me fail! Anyway I just wanted to say thanks and keep it up! you really are an inspiration!
citrixmeta March 10th, 2005, 11:44 AM xero man, dayum 364 already?! im proud of ya. from today on, every day/week/month is gonna get better! take pix! and weigh urself once a week
i know your gonna do great. I also went through the same things, there are some people out there that get a kick out of seeing people fail, i wont lie to you, your gonna get alot of those during the transformation.
use all that negativity to fuel your workout (trust me it works when u wanna sneak in that last rep)
thanks for the kind words. and stay strong!

Persistence pays off! Citrix - you were the one whose profile I showed to Gerald to get him started on this. I am very excited, and I'm in the process of making a website to help him track his progress... in the spirit of John Stone and how much he has given to everyone by pouring his energy into this site, I'm working on one to help people track their progress. I'll point back to this site for the forums.
citrixmeta March 26th, 2005, 12:32 AM here are a few shots, month update.

Nico March 26th, 2005, 02:36 PM Your pipes are HUGE bro...how much can you barbell curl now? You're starting to look like a bodybuilder. I'd have to vote for you as best transformation on this site-sorry John.
Not many people go from obese to having sick vascularity in the guns like that!

You look AMAZING, bro. I only started at 235 to 180 and you were in the 300's. You inspire me to cut that much more to get rid of my chest and stomach fat because of how awesome your transformation has turned out! Wow!
trogdor March 27th, 2005, 07:27 PM An amazing job, citrixmeta! In post #147, fifth pic down, I can clearly see well-developed serratus anteriors, the 3 little bumps on the outside and below your pecs. Which makes me jealous.
NICE JOB!!!
uRi March 28th, 2005, 09:16 AM damn man, start bulking :D !!!
Emilio March 28th, 2005, 11:22 AM Looking great man!
soltrain April 4th, 2005, 03:20 PM Holy shittee!! Again - incredible job. Your level of progress and commitment is astounding!
Two questions - well three- did you ever envision youself when you started at being below 200 for a comfortable weight?
Did you eat clean straight through or had cheat meals or days?
Do you have a monthly progress of your weight loss somewhere?

Q: did you ever envision youself when you started at being below 200 for a comfortable weight?
A: noway, when i 1st started i wanted to lose 50lbs max, i never thought of going all the way. This is why i always mention that taking weekly pix is very important.
Q: Did you eat clean straight through or had cheat meals or days?
A:i ate clean all the way, i never had cheat days. But i do have a cheat meal once in a while. when i say cheat meal, i dont mean that chocolate cheese cake, i usualy crave for oatmeal and all-bran cereals :) . on saturdays on let my self go over my daily intake by 100-200 cals.
Q: Do you have a monthly progress of your weight loss somewhere?
A: yes i do, on my HD :( . i have taken pix every week since jan 2004. I love going back looking at those pix. I will post it here sometime this week.
French Spirit April 6th, 2005, 06:16 AM I will post it here sometime this week.

Citrix man Gadzooks
you are the definition of lean mass. You've got all these striations around your arms, and awesome biceps I might add. You're a Top 5 transformation on this site minimum, and your pics keep me going man. Now it's time for you to head outside and enjoy the summer with your pimped out Bod.
Hey on a side note, have you thought about growing your hair long? Maybe some curls? Haha that would be something to see
jsbrook May 11th, 2005, 05:08 PM Very nice work! I like that you went about it intelligently and kept your lean mass. Good luck getting to 9%
karatetricker May 11th, 2005, 05:17 PM I saw your avatar the other day and went to your page on that website and remembering your pictures from several months back, I could not believe what you looked like now! Absolutely incredible. Keep up the good work! :tu:
TheRyanator May 11th, 2005, 05:44 PM Citrix - The side pose picture in week 68 is incredibly impressive! It is amazing what you have accomplished, and the abs are really beginning to pop.
Keep it up man...I am gonna hit it hard when I get to the gym tonight now that I have been inspired once again by your progress! :tucool:
slush_puppy May 11th, 2005, 05:50 PM I just saw your pics over at sickofbeingfat.net and couldn't believe the progress either. That is some really amazing work... amazing dedication. Can't wait to see what you look like at 9%! :tucool:

Vincent May 12th, 2005, 09:31 AM Hey Citrixmeta,
Fantastic results. You look excellent, great muscle mass. I'm very inspired because I am exactly the same height, I started at 200lbs and am currently lighter than you are, but with more fat and less muscle! You arms look great. Truly inspiring, wow!
Vincent.
PS: Actually, I don't know... perhaps no more fat but I wish I had the same muscles!
yogro May 12th, 2005, 10:28 AM Hey Citrixmeta, jsut checking in on your thread again and OMG are you making great progress...as always i check back to the first page to see where you have come from and it makes the feat that much more motivational and inspiring...take care and good luck!
Kessler May 25th, 2005, 12:37 AM wow.... wow........... inspirational.
CarbonB May 25th, 2005, 12:46 AM I know you ate 40/40/20 for your plan, but what did you use to fill up your carbs part?
Also, what intensity were you jogging/running?
citrixmeta May 25th, 2005, 12:49 AM rice cakes, pumpernickel bread, lots of veggies and lots lots lots of all-bran.
my cardio was never intense since day one, its very mild until today.
when im biking/jogging/elliptical, its always mild, 20 to 30mins.
my daily intake can be found here.

ABguy May 25th, 2005, 07:08 AM :spaz: OMG dude, you're amazing !!
I too, was checking out your avatar, and thought "wow, look at those guns", so I checked in on your journal and well,....WOW !!
You should be very proud of yourself. Top 5 on the site ? ... yes. Number 1 ? Absolutely !!
You da man, no doubt.
Go now, enjoy your summer.
CarbonB May 25th, 2005, 02:11 PM The reason I asked was because I am doing the same type of low intensity cardio and I am just not seeing any loss.
I guess I am going to keep doing it for another month and if I haven't dropped 1 pound then I might start adding HIIT after my lifting sessions and do my regular 3x a week low intensity cardio.
williamso May 25th, 2005, 03:11 PM You should be very proud of yourself. Top 5 on the site ? ... yes. Number 1 ? Absolutely !!
Agreed.
Wamsutta May 25th, 2005, 03:19 PM Man, I hadn't looked at your thread in a while either. You are one monstrous dude, and I mean that in the most positive of ways! I'd go as far as to say you just became my inspiration. I used to weigh 320, and I wish I'd lost weight as intelligently as you... I'd probably look a lot more like you now than I do!
Keep it up, man. You've got a very desirable physique. And you could totally win a bar fight.

citrixmeta June 22nd, 2005, 12:29 AM hey all,
havent posted in a while but im finally down to 179lbs :)
my gym membership finished last week (yes its already been 1 year) and i had to shop around for a new/closer gym.
finaly signed up to a place nearby, 10minute away by jogging. Im gonna plan out a 5 day workout routine to try to hit some muscle groups harder (legs, lats, back).
today was my 1st day at that gym, boy do i hate that feeling, new machines, dont know where everything is, its like 1st day of school all over again :(
ah well, it will pass.

ABguy June 22nd, 2005, 09:10 AM Always on inspiration, dude !!
You're looking amazing !!
Yeah, I know what you mean about the gym thing...
I recently changed jobs and had to change gyms. Even though it was the same franchise, the machines are all different and the set is confusing. Even though it's never been much of a "social" gathering for me, ya feel so out of place....you don't know anyone, seems like everyone else is very clicky. Bu, it passes after a bit.
179 lbs....that's truly amazing.. :tu:
Gohanssj June 22nd, 2005, 07:13 PM Man, you are a huge inspiration to me, your right up there with John in my books, cause my build is alot more like yours than Johns, and it gives me hopes, every time I feel down and unable to go on, I just think of what you have gone through and it makes me push through it.
I am also joining a gym soon! im co partnering with a friend who hasnt started working out yet and was where I was when I began losing weight, so I can help him alot, also the gym is about a 10-15 min run away from my house too, so that should help me with my running also :D
Im really happy we have people like you to inspire us younger people who can easily give up, I hope I can have the same results as you! :db:

So what is your plan now? I heard you say a while back that you were going to work on project 6-pack this summer? is that still on tap or what?
Geez, you look good man... Your shoulders are killer.

Buddha June 26th, 2005, 03:23 PM Yea citrix, you are a great motivation to many who want/need to lose weight. It is amazing to see where you started, and where you are coming to. I hope to make a transformation as good as yours some day.

thanks for the comments friends,
ya i can feel my abs now and i see them abit :tu:
but i dont think they will be coming out any time soon.
my plan for now is to keep cutting till winter and then do a clean bulk for a few months. Ive been cutting for a long time now ( 1 year and 6 months approx.) it would be nice to bring in some big cals to shock my body and gain mass.
i think only then i will see some abs.
citrixmeta July 1st, 2005, 11:44 PM ok everyone, looks like im gonna go through a bulk phase starting next week.
im planning on taking in +100cals/day for the next 3 months or so till it hit 4000/4500cals. (starting from 2000)
also, im currently taking in 40/40/20 , but im gonna d0 50% carbs 30% prot. 20% fat.
i wonder how this is going to affect my budget, i plan on taking my carbs from oats, peanut butter, all bran , maybe fruits?!
im also going to be doing a 5 times/week workout plan instead of 3.
if anyone can recommend anything or suggestions it would help.
looking forward for response.
I have no idea how my body will react to this phase, since ive been cutting since jan 2004 (2400cal to 2000cals).
im worried as hell to tell u the truth, the last thing i want is to gain alot of fat and go back to what i was before.
any guesses of what i should look like in 3 months?
thanks everyone

Kebas July 2nd, 2005, 12:58 AM Man, you are looking great! Keep up the great work! This is certainly an awesome success story.
Personally, I think you should continue cutting. You are extremely muscular (IMO at least) and if you cut just a little more you would get your ABS showing.

I think he will do good bumping up 100 calories per day, he will still be losing fat until he really gets up there in the calories. With all that muscle, he will surely not gain much fat at all, I wouldn't worry.
Citrix, if you keep 95% of your food clean, I believe there is no way in hell you'll will put on enough fat to discourage yourself, with all them muscles, you have a good team to push away the fat while gathering more troops!(Muscles!)
Good luck man, you rock so much.

Range July 11th, 2005, 05:15 AM dear citrixmeta i have two question. First, question when you start working out in the begging did you lose weight before your start exercising ? and did you struggle in first days of weight lifting like number of sets, increasing weight. I am 25 y height 6.1 male, i used to be over 310 three years ago but I did major change in my nurturing and start eating healthy food. Currently, my weight dropped to 238 but the thing is that most of my weight goes to my abdominal and thigh area. My goal is too be fit am thinking to start bulking when my weight reach 220 but my main concern where this skin around my belly and thighs will go? Am even thinking to look into HGH? Please let me know if you have tips that would help. Compare to your pictures in muscletank my body now similar to body in week 23.
BamaDave July 11th, 2005, 04:03 PM Citrixmeta, your transformation continues to be one of the most amazing I have ever seen. Really unbelievable! Congratulations -- it's really a testament to what people can do with discipline and determination.
bigjeff July 11th, 2005, 04:36 PM i just dont wanna end up at this pic after 3 months :(
http://www.nfs.ca/john/2.jpg
You don't need to worry Citrix!!
My prediction:
In the 3 months you will gain 15-20lbs to put you right around 200lbs. I would guess you would be very good with eating clean foods, so of the 20lbs you put on, I would say, at most, 5lbs will be fat. Which would put you going from 179@9% to ~200@10-11%.
I think the last arm measurement you gave was 16, I bet those will be real close to 17, with your chest measurement going up by maybe 2-3inches.
But you could always prove me wrong by getting to 200lbs in 3 months and having your bodyfat % stay the same. If there was a JSF bookie I would put my money on you doing a crazy bulk.
The numbers I am giving are really quite conservative for you, you can do it easy!! :claplow:
:gl:

BigDog July 11th, 2005, 06:42 PM Wow. Inspiring.
To me, the single most impressive thing is that you did it "slowly" rather than burning yourself out in 4 months. Phenomenal dedication and persrverence.
I felt like I was doing well by losing 40 lbs since January 13 (from 242 to 201 this morning). You shame me.
OK actually, you inspire me - and probably a few others as well.
Qimbz July 12th, 2005, 01:55 AM can anybody tell if this is remaining fat or loose skin?
i cant get a nice pinch of it...but it hangs from the sides as you can tell in some pix.
I was just wondering (I hope this question isn't too personal)
When did you get that scar on your stomach, and what did you get it from>?
I have two scars, which I got just under a year ago, but they're still red and raised. I was told in time they would lose the hyperpigmentation (the redness). I was just wondering, wiht your scars being a bit reds till, are they somewhat new?

hello range,
yes i lost alot of weight the first month when i wasnt training, i think most of it was water and i would assume some muscle too due to the horrible diet.
as for training, i always stuck to the same plan, 8 reps max, gave it all i had. This type of training really helped me keep some mass during the cutting phase and made me alot stronger in a short period of time.
take ur time to lose weight, dont plunge down too fast.
make sure you eat, dont starve yourself, and lift hard you will achieve your goals.
good luck! :)

it must be a bad pic cuz the scar isnt really red.
the scars are from a Gallbladder stone removal surgery a few years ago.
they also took away my Gallbladder :)

freddyaudiophile July 17th, 2005, 03:02 PM Hey citrix:
I am PRETTY sure that you won't end up that way this time around... Looking back on what I've done over the last 3 years or so, I wish I would have done what you did -- cut, cut, cut and then cut some more (to get to where you are now) and then bulked. Of course, hindsight is always 20/20.
Instead, I cut for a while and never really knew what I was doing (was not on JSF at the time). My diet was all off -- NO fat (bad), and it would alternate between high protein and high carbs. I was lifting regularly but never really tracked my progress all that much. Bad scene to say the least... :(
I eat around ~2000 (ranges from 1850 to 2100) cals a day now and am still losing fat (according to the mirror) -- calipers and myotape should be here this week. Once I get down around 8 or 9% bodyfat, I will do a good clean bulk. I am planning to increase the daily cals by 250 per week until I hit 3500 or so and keep lifting hard. I'm lifting 3 times a week now but will be going to 5 times a week in the fall when my home gym gets here.
What kind of diet are you going to put in place to bulk? Do you have your complete lifting program around someplace that you could send me via PM?
freddy

Heya freddy,
my lifting plan has not changed whatsoever, except i strectched it during 5 days instead of 3 so i can hit some body parts harder (triceps, traps and back)
as for the diet, im doing around 50% carbs 25 fats and 25% protein.
where most of the fats are EFA's.
it was reallllyyyy tuff the few days, i had a hard time taking in those extra calories, i was adding 100cals more a day and it was hard let me tell ya.
but today, i got in around 3500cals noo problem at all, looks like my body got used to it.
the 1st week or so i jumped to 192lbs from 184. I can tell ya lots of it is water. as we speak im standing at 194lbs. I will post pix in a few weeks. wish me luck :claphigh: :claphigh:
CarbonB July 21st, 2005, 12:00 AM I'm really wanting to see how your abs look after you bulk a little bit and then cut again.
I want to see how much your skin goes away :)
I am losing weight, I need a camera so I can post some pictures, because I can tell I'm adding mass. This is all I was wondering really lol :P
Well I am off to shower.

Legs look big, what do you do for them? Looking at them I would have to say you have done plenty of heavy squats.
You are most definitely a man on a misson, you have my total respect, this is one impressive transformation. You are an inspiration to us all. :claplow:
CarbonB August 24th, 2005, 02:29 AM I would say that you need to work on chest development. You don't have a lot of mass there and it seems like you are staying relatively the same size.
Did you change your lifting routine up any?

How is it going these days? Have not heard from you in a bit...how is your bulk going? I think you have a birthday coming up, any plans? Any goals you are planning to hit by then!?
Once again, I must compliment you on your transformation, I continually consider it one of the most impressive displays of dedication and an inspiration to a lot of people who might have just thrown in the towel at the weight you started at thinking it was impossible. Way to go!
citrixmeta October 5th, 2005, 02:12 PM HEY ryanator!! hope everyone is doing well.
well everyone, bulking is all done.
i went from 184lbs to 217lbs in 10 weeks.
i wouldnt say it was "clean" but border line. I missed all the good food i used eat. Keep in mind i was cutting for around 16months before i decided to bulk.
One thing ive noticed, i dont even look close to what i used to look last year when i WAS at 217.
its been 4 weeks since i started to cut again.
here is a shot of before and end of bulk, please no fat jokes :)
http://www.needforspeed.ca/john/10week.jpg
im doing a very slow cut now, im taking in 2400cals/day 40/40/20
thanks for the post m8

gravityhomer October 8th, 2005, 02:44 PM Looking good citrix. If you have the photos how does the comparison look between being 217 now and when you were before while you were losing the weight. Do you know how much muscle you put on during the bulk?
citrixmeta October 11th, 2005, 12:35 AM Hay there! thanks for the post.
im not sure how much muscle i gained, but maybe this pic will help.
the pic below is a shot of me at 215, the left is last year and the right is a few days ago (im 210lbs today)

TheRyanator December 5th, 2005, 12:07 AM Hey Citrix! Good to hear from you! Looks like you certainly put on some size and are doing well on your cut...sounds like you are taking the cut nice and slow which just means you are gonna look stacked when you are all toned up since you should retain your muscle gains!
You have always been an inspiration to this board, keep it up and keep us posted!
citrixmeta May 29th, 2006, 05:02 PM hey everyone, i havent posted in a while.
just a quick update of whats been going on for the past few months.
i have been maintaining for the past few months, eating around 3400cals a day.
havent been on a cardio machine since either, instead ive been powerlifting for the past 7 weeks.
heavy squats, dead lifts, bench press and clean & jerk lifts (how fun!)

mriedel May 29th, 2006, 05:43 PM Still by far the most amazing transformation I've seen. Great work :)
escher May 29th, 2006, 11:10 PM I agree. Your transformation is one of the best on here. Your lats are spreading out and you're getting your wings! Powerlifting is paying off for you bigtime! Cant wait to see where you go next from here!
Wamsutta May 30th, 2006, 10:19 AM As has been said, yours is still my favorite and the most impressive transformation I've seen. You look straight powerful and, if you wanted to be, scary. I salute you.
That being said, would you mind posting a little bit more about your current routine, and a breakdown of your diet? I'm in the process of cobbling together a new program for myself, and am interested in what you're doing.
Keep it up!

thanks for the nice words, it means so much to me.
my routine has changed alot since i started. ill break down my daily intake.
Breakfast - special K cereal/skim milk and 2 scoops of whey shake
10:30 snack - turkey sandwich with all bran bar
Lunch - chicken or steak with veggies
3:00 snack - cup of soup, can of tuna
dinner - rice or potatoes, chicken/fish/steak
dessert is either Peanut butter sandwich or special K cereal+skim milk.
2 hours later im at the gym with a big water bottle filled with 2 scoops of gatorage (88g of carbs)
after my workout its either egg white or 6x whole eggs + flax seed tortilla + wash it down with protein shake :)
thats pretty much covers my daily intake, this is what i eat to maintain.
as for my workout its the following.
i decided to put in 5 sets of powerlifting in my workout sessions,
Example:
tricep days
5 x sets of pull downs
5 x dips
--> DEADlifts 5 sets, 3 x warm up 2x max out 6-8 reps.
OR
--> Squats 5 sets, 3 x warm up 2x max out 6-8 reps.
5 x skull crushers
5 x one handed pulldowns
i dedicated a complete day for clean and jerk lifts, 1 hour and half session.
i nail the form down with light weights and gradualy go up to my max.
