I had my girl friend take these pictures yesterday after we got back from our afternoon jog (Reason why there's so much sweat btw) 10/9 because I wanted to be held accountable, I've been letting myself go for the last 3 or 4 months, gaining back about 20 pounds (All to my stomach and face as you can tell from the pictures), and currently i'm at 181 and I need a good kick in the butt to get back on the wagon because I really want to get back to where I was only a few short months ago...

But here they are, i'm extremely self concious, so don't be too harsh lol

I wish I could gain 20 lbs (of fat?) and look that ripped. Ah, well. Near future I hope.

Seriously, you look great. Excellent quads IMO. What did you look like 20 lbs ago if you look like that at 188?

Is that a joke?

Chris

Knubb: Thanks man, it really is helpful and great to hear things like that :)

Karate: Nope, no joke, I guess it's true what they say though, "you are your own worst enemy" :d_frown:

When I was around 160, some of my friends said I looked too thin but I know I liked the way I looked better than I do now and I also thought it was partly because we grew up together and maybe still saw me as that chubby guy I used to be.

I should probably clarify a bit though, when I say I let myself go, it wasn't a total give up, it was diet-wise, I pretty much went back to eating whatever I wanted and when I had daily cravings for things like potato chips (I hate Frito Lay for creating guacamole flavored Doritos  ), I endulged them. I did still manage to drag myself to the gym 3 times a week and continued making small improvements so i'm sure the 20 pounds wasn't all fat, my mind just sees it that way and I know it doesn't help matters that i'm so self concious about my appearance

I thought it was a joke too.

I'm sure loosing those few pounds you've gained wont be a problem.

Dude, you are incredibly ripped and there is no way you even have 20 pounds of fat total on your body.

Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. It's working! :tu:

In my personal opinion, you shouldn't loose much more weight, cause that'll just make you look too "skinny"

Kinda reminds me of the Wendy's guy, I was on an un-official bulk! problem being Doritos and Chocolate chip cookies are not the food of choice for a good clean bulk :p but lesson learned, and it's really nice to hear all the nice things, makes me feel alot better knowing that my butt didn't hit the ground too hard over the last few months

You're coming from the other side of the street tho, I came down from about 245 pounds just over a year ago, where as you will be gaining weight from 142. If u stay dedicated though i'm sure you'll leave me in the dust before the end of next year

Oh, i'm 5'8 too btw

wow nice work, just shows what hard work and dedication can achieve, you got tons of muscle mass! how did you sustain it so well?, did you go through a bulk?

You look like roger sanchez.

Do u have any pics of when you were 20lbs lighter ? Id LOVE to see them, would be good to compare.

At 5'8'', 181 is heavy, but you dont look too big for your frame. 245 at 5'8'', thats some weight. Do u have any befores at 245 ?

Seriously, you have really motivated me to stay on course. Im also 5'8''.

I thought this was a joke too.

I second the motion for a 245 lbs picture. It would be great motivation for those of us that do weigh 245 lbs.

:)

Chris

I have a bunch of older pictures that really show me at 245, but I need to find someone to help me scan them in, I do have one though, I was around 230 at the time of this picture.

Even back then, I played a lot of football and worked out when I could, problem being my diet, which was pretty horrible, most nights i'd go out with the guys to white castle and we'd each down like 15 burgers at a time w/ fries and soda, not to mention the pizza and beer we had earlier on.

I'd like to think much of the muscle was built over the past year, but in reality it was probably all developed from way back and just hidden under layers and layers of fat :(

I think I might have some pictures of when I was under 160 in a disposeable camera somewhere, i'll try to find them.

Oh it's kinda funny that I somehow can help motivate you fellas since it's people like you who have motivated me and kept me from falling too far by your hard work and determination

Thanks! always motivating to hear

Whats the time frame between then and now ?

That picture was a little older, i'd say about 4 or so years ago and about 15 pounds lighter from my heaviest, the day I decided to change my life around I weighed 244, that was last August.

this may sound weird, but you look alot less asian in the photo's on the first page

It's funny you mention that because a lot of people nowadays think i'm mixed, It might be because I don't look like him anymore

Hey Thanks! It had been my problem ..not being able to gain weight. But after couple yrs of trying I managed to gain some weight.. now it's the time for me to get bulk!

I got a trainer and he's been managing me very well. I have the weakest will and motivation.. but now I am having so much fun goin' to gym. I changed schedule yesterday, now I go to gym 4 to 5 days for a week. I feel more energetic and well.

someday...!!!! :bb:

I hung a picture of LL on my fridge for the first 3 months because that was the type of body and definition I wanted, and that was the first time anyone has ever used LL and my name in the same sentence without me having to mention it!

Best compliment i've ever heard, thank you!! oh and just so I don't get in trouble with my girl, i'm the lucky one!

what was your diet and cardio routine that you used to lose all that weight. very inspirational

Diet-wise: I always kept a ratio of 40/30/30 (P-Carb-F) but obviously varying the amount of calories as the weight (fat) started coming off, generally I kept my calorie intake anywhere from 12-13x my bodyweight and never going below 11x, front loaded my complex carbs in the morning-afternoon, for dinner it usually consisted of some form protein and healthy fats.

Cardio-wise: 15 minute interval training at the track next to my house, 2 or 3 mornings a week.

Swimming and basketball don't count in my book because I enjoy it too much to even consider it actual training

Thanks RT! and ditto on the Tobey Mac, I never really understood why someone would want to strive to be so skinny but I also respect that kind of dedication nonetheless :tu:

I haven't checked my bodyfat since getting back on the wagon (Time of those pictures), which on my calipers measured me at around 10%, although in the past when I measure myself, i'm notorious for coming up with higher numbers, so when I get a chance to get hydro and futrex tested again, i'll post the numbers along with some new pictures.
