Hi. Ive been trolling the website for quite some time now. I wanted to post a before and after picture of myself, so you guys could help me out. I started lifting and exercising last year in college. It quickly became a daily habit that I really enjoyed. I went home for the summer and basically quit working out and gained some of my belly fat back. I developed a hernia right before school started back that prevented me from lifting like I wanted. So instead of lifting, I did only cardio. 20 mins a day around 70-80 my max capability. My ultimate goal is to get a six pack and have defined arms/shoulders. The pictures that I have attached are before and after shots of the 5 week period of cardio. I just had surgery to repair the hernia, and I want your input on how to best obtain the results that I want. I made a workout schedule that I am going to do once I completely recover.

Sun - legs, traps
Mon - 25mins cardio, abs
Tues - back, biceps, triceps
Wed - 25mins cardio, abs
Thurs - pecs, delts, lats
Fri - 25mins cardio, abs

Do you guys think this regimen will be sufficient to see the results that I want? And if not, what should I do to change it?

PS. The pictures were taken in the mornings, and im not flexing or aything.

I eat pretty healthy I believe. I would guess around 2400 cal per day. I start the day at 7:30 with bowl of kroger brand honey nut medly crisp and 10oz glass of OJ. Lunch @ 12 consists of 1 bp sandwich, bottle of water, medium apple, and detour bar. 5pm dinner of 1 hamburger with a serving of baked french fries, or baked chicken breast and rice, or turkey sub hold all the condiments. and a snack before 8pm of apple or detour bar.. nothing to eat after 8pm. Never drink any soda. This isnt an exact amount of what I eat, but for three monthes last semester I had a chart like John's where I recorded every single thing that I ate. I feel confident that I am no higher than 2400 to 2500 cals/day.

I can tell that during the 5 week period i have lost body fat. I keep pinching the skin over my abs in variously places, and i have noticed a considerable decrease in pinchability. I have taken pictures of that too. Here they are:

I think you're not giving us enough information. Almost any regimen is going to help produce results if it involves a combination of cardio and resistance training. The key is with nutrition. What is your nutrition like? That is where you should be focusing.

Ok, I can add traps in easy. What kind of exercises should I do. and I guess i should add in lats also. Think lat pulldowns and pull ups would be sufficient?

Ps. I edited my orig post to include more info/pics

Why dont u include all your back workouts on one day, then leave the other day for arms? I find that I need a whole day to workout my back
