I tried searching for this topic, so I apologize if it has been posted before.

Basically, I am wondering if what the difference between the workout between bikes and elliptical machines are, if any. Currently there seems to be a bit of a price gap between the two, with the bikes being cheaper. I'm about to make a purchase of one of these machines and would like to know the pro/cons of each.

Thanks

Good Question Dude?

I used bike for 4 months doing HIIT... To increase intensity
i raised resistance .. and I injured my knees little bit...

So I moved to Elliptical.. Funny thing with elliptical is I dont
feel much stress as I used to on Bike... And I burn more calories
, my heart goes up, and in 25 minutes I loose all my energy ...
But on bike, I need lot of effort.. and even after 45 minutes
I was ready to 15 more minutes...

So I definitely go with Elliptical.... Another plus thing with
elliptical is you have to move your upper body... which burns
more calories.... :gl:

Depends on what you like to do really, Elliptical will burn more cals as you move your arms/whole body as well. However I prefer the bike mainly because I'm a cyclist :D, and I can really go all out on the bike. Don't really like the Elliptical it just feels weird to do.

I'd suggest going to your local gym and trying both on alternating days and see which one you like the best.
