Not sure if this fits into "fat loss", but I didn't know where else to put it.

I was looking at johns monthly pictures (needed some motivation) and notice in his June pictures, he has a whole lot less hair.

I have enough chest hair, leg hair and arm hair to nit a rug out of, and want to know the best (and LEAST PAINFUL  ) way to get it removed. I know about waxing, my wife does it. She's told me her story as to how bad it hurts sometimes, and was wondering if there was a better way for us guys to do it.

I don't want to shave; it would take to long and grow back to fast. (If it's anything like my facial hair).

Any ideas??

You can try Nair, which is a hair remover. Personally, I find it very irritating and unpleasant. And it stinks.

Waxing is painful, but it lasts long enough to make it worthwhile. There are permanent measures you could consider, but they're spendy.

I'd go with waxing, too. Cheapest and longest lasting way to do it. I just shave my chest, though, since I have about 10 hairs that grow there anyways

if you wanted to spend a heap of money you could get laser hair removal, doesn't hurt but costs a bunch but at least the hair doesn't come back.

If you don't want painful, waxing is out for sure. But if you can stand it, it's not so bad on some parts (like your back), and torture on other parts (like your stomach). And the more you do it, the less it hurts.

Nair can give you some nasty chemical irritation, so spot test it first.

Wow, I really don't think waxing is all that painful. LOL It just stings while the wax is being ripped off, but it goes away immediately, at least for me. It last so much longer than shaving too!
John says he'll never wax again though.....

Well no, dear, not after what you did to my chest (http://www.johnstonefitness.com/all/front/64.jpg) last March! :(

My ex is a beautician (shame she couldn't do anything for me... heheheh) so I got the liberty of being practiced on all the time. You name it, legs, bikini line, chest, back, arms... It all came off at one time or another.

Damn... it's probably why I am as hairy as I am now! grrrrrrr :(

Mind you, on those JML video's that you see in the big places like Woolworths or Wilkinsons, they have this new razor hair removal type thing and from what I've seen, I'll be getting me one. Looks like it could give a closer shave than a normal razor but you don't get the burn or the rash afterwards.... Worth thinking about.

Mind you, it's got a right girlie name like 'beauty trimmer' or something equally as un-masculine. They could at least have given it a decent name like 'chest-rug killer' or similar I just hope it doesn't come in pink.

I bought one of those $20 trimmers marketed for trimming head hair. I find removing all of the hair on my chest looks kind of silly at this point (picture a pale white dude in the middle of winter), so I tend to live half a centimeter on. It doesn't itch, and there isn't any stubble. Repeat bi-weekly.

You might need all that hair when you get stranded after your car breaks down and you are freezing your a** off :p . Anyway, dont women like guys with hair?

laser doesn't hurt? since when? i just started on my back and shoulders and it sure does hurt. feels like someone's snapping a rubber band at you ever single time. it hurts even more where there's a concentration of hairs like on the neck.

worth it though.. pain or no pain. but at like 400-500 per session for your back or chest.. it can get up there.. even a couple of sessions though and most of the hair will be gone.

strange must depend on what type of laser they use, hurts far less then waxing and here a session is only 30 bucks Australian, tho you do need a few sessions. Forgotten what type of laser its called, I'll see if i can find out.
