Hey guys. What are your opinions on nuts? I know they are fatty, but it's "good" fat, is it not? Sometimes it's nice to have something as snacks, like when you go to the movies and so forth... how much can nuts can I "safely" eat without killing my prot/carb/fat intake too much? :eat:

Depending on the type of nuts you eat, they can be really good for you.

As far as how many you can eat, look at the nutritional label and gauge that based on your calorie intake and ratio limit (fat/carb/protein)...even if it is good fat, you can't just eat handfuls of them.

almonds are by far the best and healthiest nuts

i only have 6 almonds a day.. i would shy away from them if cutting because of the calorie count

23 almonds is like 170 calories..

you could have like 4-5 cups of green beans for 150 or so calories..

tell me, which one would be more filling as well? :)

Hehe maybe the beans, but you don't wanna munch on green beans @ the movies, right? Let's not get extreme. :p
