Hope this isn't too off topic.

On the somatogram on mybodycomp.com, I have some weird values on my hips and arms values. My arms report -17.

Now I don't know if this is muscle -> fat ratio or just muscle itself. My arms are probably the most developed part of my body, having good definition even at 17% body fat. Another thing that blazes me is the fact that my left arm is slightly bigger than my right, even thou I'm right handed and have much more strengh on my right arm. But if I measure my left arm I get a drop of around 3 points.

I also do tennis a few times a week and since I started, I noticed a heck of muscle development on my right arm, so I seriously don't think I'm under developed.

Does this mean I should start focusing more on my arm training and try to build muscle, or it means that as I will lose overall fat, the values will start to even out?

Thanks
Bruno

As I see it, the numbers are really only what MyBodyComp feels is a nice build. If you like your arms and think they look good on your body, then you're fine. There are simply too many different genetic builds to be able to make a graph like that which would suit everybody. Sure, they might have a point in that your abdomen shouldn't be too big in proportion to the rest of your body, since that probably means you've got a lot of fat stored, but unless it truly is fat, it wouldn't be unhealthy. The strength ratio is more important for our health than the size, since your posture would suffer if one side of your body was stronger than the other for example. Having Pop-Eye forearms won't do nothing, except maybe forcing your shoulders and arms to be stronger due to the extra weight.

What do I know, really? Nothing. But that's my view.
