I've been scouring through these posts to find what you guys have been eating and I've come to the decision that I'm either searching too hard and not finding, or I'm just a dumbass that can't find anything. I've been given a few things to look at but finding a UK equivalent isn't easy...

Soooooo

My question is to guys in the UK...

We shop at Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Tesco's, Asda's etc etc. What labels do you buy when you go? What do YOU eat when you're cutting?

So far, I have the following on the list.

Protein:
5kg bag of boneless skinless chicken fillets
Turkey breast, boneless and skinless
Tuna, many many tins of tuna
Tub of Reflex protein drink/shake/powder

Carbs:
Oats, brown rice, wholemeal bread,

Fats:

Omega 3, Omega 6, Olive oil, fat from peanut butter....

Come on lads, going shopping tomorrow... ;-)

aaahhhh, so we're talking brands, ok.

Carbs:

Microwave rice: u've already said brown rice, but if you're ever in a rush, sainsburys homebrand microwave rice is fine, it's long grain white rice but it's still ok to use as part of your program. about 99p for 250g

Ryvita - Dark rye: excellent source of complex carbs and fibre, no added sugar and just a negligable ammount of salt. May seem boring but they taste excellent with fuits like bananas and apples, especially post weights workout. 50p for 250g

Krisprolls: like ryvita but tastier (and more expensive) as a downside, they have added sugar, but not too much, ~80p per pack (250g?)

Potatoes: Sweet potatoes are mentionned a lot on the boards, unfortunately for us here in the Uk, you can expect to spend about £5 on a big bag. Dont be afraid of white potatoes, they have a higher GI but again, if u're eating regularly, they're ok. i'm not gonna tell ya how much potatoes cost, lol.

Weetabix: Good complex carb source, if u dont like oats or dont have time to cook them, weetabix is a good alternative. I eat them with skimmed milk, but u can use semi-skimmed provided you take note of the increased fat content

Cardboard: Can be obtained for free from behind the supermarket. Unusual taste and texture, harsh on the digestive system and little or no calorific value (depends on previous contents).£0.00 for tonnes of the stuff.

Protein:
Whey: Bit of a random comment, i havent looked into your brand of protein so i dont know its ingredients or price. But my personal fave is Nutrisport 90+, loads of flavours, £60 for 5kg. Maybe worth a try sometime.

Seafood: I'm not a fan of typical cheat meals, but i do like treat meals. Basically just spending a little more than usual. Fresh prawns are great, pretty much just protein, but watch out for the added salt, take care to drink lots of water. Also canned white crab is great, similar nutrition to tuna (but 4 x the price, lol)
Oily fish: Makerel, kippers etc. Bepends if ya like the taste, i do. Fulkl of protein and unsaturated fats, not too expensive

Fats:
I've said it before but my favourite fat source has to be Cod liver Oil. Obviously intended as an essential fatty acid source, but i've had excellent results using it as an energy source.
Approx £5 - £6 for 300ml from boots (Seven seas EXTRA HIGH STRENGTH cod liver oil) Dont forget their 3 for 2 offers on supplements. Strange taste, but doesnt take too long to get used to.

I gotta go eat, lol.
