Hey guys, I'm just falling out of line with my diet every other day and not getting all that I should out of lifting, and I think it's time I change up routines. I've been on one program all this time, and I'm just getting bored with it I guess. I found this (http://www.bodychangers.com/interviews.shtml) website and I was blown away by the majority of these people. I've read a lot of the interviews, and obviously the guys/girls with the best results went pretty intense in their programs and took a lot of supplements. I'm considering checking into the Body For Life deal, because that's what a lot of these dudes have been doing...but I wanted some guys like SwoleCat and others to check it out and just let me know if it would take something like the massive supplementation that these guys are doing to achieve that. I really don't know that much about the BFL program or anything, but I just think it's time to switch it up. (And sorry Swole man, your guys are getting awesome results, but I'm just going to borrow the BFL book from the library. Though once I recover from my book debt for this semester, you might get a PM about starting :tucool: ). Thanks for any input.

Oh, and I forgot, I've only been using a multivitamin and fish oil capsules and recently some ginseng a few times. I've not used protein powder or creatine before, though creatine is a staple in every person's diet on that website. Does it make that much of a difference??? Thanks.

Whoa, I just found Jeremy Likness on that site! Hey man, if you check this thread, could you drop me a PM with the best way to get with you to ask a few questions, if you don't mind?

I did BFL and lost a significant amount of fat. I tweaked it using Hussman's suggestions and only used Myoplex as a supplement.

The problem was that as I progressed beyond the 12 week "Challenge" I became better able to properly overload my muscles, and I went in the wrong direction - I added MORE when I should really have been doing less volume. I was working out every day and doing HIIT every day, and not knowing jack about nutrition I was eating virtually zero fat. What happened was that I lost TONS of muscle, and I hit a wall bad.

Then I talked to a PT/friend who had me start eating more fat and reduced my workouts drastically ... btw he was also a BFL judge. :)

Anyway, I am rambling now probably because I'm nervous about my house getting slammed by hurricane Jeanne at the moment (surprisingly we still have power at 5am), I think BFL can work especially for newbies. But I do think that more accurately tracking your calories (instead of the portion thing) is better, and I also think that splitting the muscles up further (not just upper/cardio/lower) is a better idea (I prefer 2-3 muscles a day).

If you do jump on this program let me know. I'm still a member of a pretty active BFL Yahoo group with a lot of people who know their stuff. I'll give you the URL.
