Doing my chest routine Monday I proceeded to amaze myself by benching a full 20 pounds heavier than i'd been stuck on for weeks previously (...still only up to 115, :o don't laugh:o ) but just the fact that I'm moving up is great. I've made improvements nearly everywhere except my bench so it's a huge confidence booster to toss that much on ('s alot to me!) and finish a set

I've been doing alot differently the past week or three, laying off the flat bench in favor of incline and decline and pec flyes, as well as working my tri's harder..if that's not having an actual effect then it at least did something to my confidence and/or form....either way, seems like that's starting to pay off

sweet! Congrats on the breakthrough. I know how you feel, I've been stuck on 127 for AGES, but completed all my sets at that weight for the first time yesterday. Next week i'm am going to beat it, i know it!

Any progress is good progress, no matter what weights you use.

Have you considered doing chest and triceps on the same day? Incline and decline bench will surely hit your triceps alot, and dips will hit your chest. If you do them on the same day, you'll prevent overtraining, and probably see better gains.

I've thought about it.... Right now i do Tris and Shoulders same day, which isn't GREAT now that i'm doing more shoulder stuff..overhead presses and the like aren't fun at all when your tris are shot...doin tris on monday with chest might make that better, and i could do something like

chest/tris
bi/back
shoulder/abs (or cardio)
legs

Only thing is my tri's dont feel really worked after doing all the bench stuff, just well used. I guess the thinking i was doing was that starting in on a tricep workout right after that would have me at subpar performance as opposed to resting first
