After talking to a few people on here, and reading some informative posts (Jeremy), I decided to try knocking out milk for a couple months to see how I react to it.

Trouble is milk does have a lot of protein and, the reason I'm posting, it is what I use to mix with my MRPs.

Luckilly I need to buy some new shakes so I thought I'd ask you guys for some opinions on a shake that mixes with water or something else besides milk that still tastes GOOD.

I was getting sick of Myoplex anyway.

Muscle Milk

While I do agree with what others say about using milk vs water for your shakes, I also have read plenty supporting drinking WHOLE milk...even adding heavy cream to it, and/or drinking 12oz of Half/Half per day. Without getting into that whole thing...Muscle Milk (http://www.dpsnutrition.net/product_information.asp?number=CT048&back=yes&dept=1034&last=1034) mixes well with milk or water, as does Beverly's Ultra Size (http://www.dpsnutrition.net/product_information.asp?number=BV020&back=yes&dept=1425&last=1425) , and AST's Ny-Tro Pro 40 (http://www.dpsnutrition.net/product_information.asp?number=AS114&back=yes&dept=1018&last=1018) .
They all taste unbelievable, though I would tend to lean towards the Muscle Milk, and Ultra Size.

Another good reply from Kino, thanks dude!

AHHH, Beverly products. THAT's the name of that company (I forgot)! I tried one of their MRPs at a show/expo in Orlando a few months ago, and it tasted fantastic! I'm definitely going to check them out, thanks!

Also going to check out the AST product, since I like their stuff usually.

Thanks again!

If you go AST and like strawberry...I'd recommend that over their chocolate or vanilla. The strawberry is really good with water.
Here's a link to Beverly's (http://www.beverlyinternational.com/) site. I think you'll find that they have alot more to offer than just great products.

Thanks dude. Yeah I was previously drinking strawberry Myoplex, liked it a lot for a while but it's getting kinda old and I'm sick of it.

Thanks for the link to Beverly. Actually I've recently been hearing some good things about them.

Much appreciated.
Chris

DPS (http://www.dpsnutrition.net/) has got the best prices if you decide to go the Beverly route. I wouldn't want to see anybody paying their suggested prices...

How about soy milk? I'm lactose intolerant, so I drink soy milk pretty often. Do you think that mixing soy milk with an MRP would be reasonable, or am I likely to spray it across the room upon first taste.

I ask, but in all likelyhood I'll end up trying it out, anyway.

I rather like 8th continent soy milk, and at ths point where I'm located a gallon is only a buck more than dairy milk (4 bucks for a gallon of milk!! ARG) I enjoye dthe taste, mine was unflavored but there was still a slight hint of vanillabean-ness in it, but it was good. Not sure how it would mix with protien, I never tried.

I mix water with my myoplex and Met-rx shakes and like it. Guess I am just weird. :)
