bni September 20th, 2004, 06:06 PM I've been working out since actually february of 2004. I was hovering aboutn 200lbs atleast. I was never a big person but then suddenly got really large and I had to do something about it. never will I ignore my body like that again. I only started taking pictures in july...I dont know why. but i wish i had some from before. they would be freaky.
any comments, advice, thoughts, crits....

Im currently still trying to cut down because I know i have fat in my chests and part of my lower back and love handles to go still. Im lifting as much as I can...and trying to gain a lot of muscle at the same time. I think the hard weight training should help with the last of the fat.
not sure what my bf% is right now either. on aug 5th though I was 13.6% and 173.8 lbs. im now 158lbs.

Just a quick question? Are those stretch marks below your stomach in your earlier pictures? Also, would you mind posting your routine and diet? You're progress is very inspirational! :gl:

Knubb September 21st, 2004, 03:52 PM You do look a lot slimmer, but tell me, are you trying to preserve your lean mass? Some calculations:
173.8 lbs @ 13.6 % = 150.2 lbs
158 lbs @ 10 % = 142.2 lbs.
I don't think you're lower than 10%, so that's at least 8 lbs of lean mass lost (given that 13.6 was an accurate measurement), more than half of what you lost in that period of time. Seems to me like too much. If you want to keep your mass, you should look into changing your diet and exercise program.
It's all in one's own perspective though. If you don't mind, I can't say anything other than that you do look great.

I got really fat really fast it seemed and i'll probably always remember now eh. they suck a lot but whatever...
I am eating more now for the amount of activity im doing. I feel I must be putting on muscle tho while losing the fat cuz my arms and such have never been so big yet im losing weight. I will admit that I hardly did any squats or anyting like that during the period..i recently started them though. I was doing leg exercises but not near what I am trying to do now. I'd like to get my bodyfat calculated at the gym again but I dont know if i want to pay for that...
but as I said, ive upped my calories and such.
I'll try and post what I eat here..but It's all foods that i picked up off this website so the info is already right here.
I dont see how I could be losing the lean muscle but eating all the protein i do and by working out hard with weights...and then also my cardio is not over my heartrate when i do 50 mins. who knows. I feel stronger than ever though and try and lift as heavy as I can... doing max ot type stuff.
I'll have to weigh myself at the gym again maybe it was just a weird day.
Buchy September 22nd, 2004, 11:38 AM That's a tremendous transformation and you look great. I know the stretch mark pain as well, but having just returned from a holiday in Lanzarote I can tell you that loads of people have them, and I mean loads. Yours are hardly visible in your last photo.

i was down to about 154lbs but in last month or so, I've gone up a bit. On saturday I weighed myself at the gym and it came out as 166.0. this is after a day of eating though. but I'll see later tonite. Im continuing to eat eat eat lol

I got a body composition for free at goodlife [my gym] today cuz it was member appriciation! this is so cool cuz last one i got was in july i think.
my stats now are great and i was in shorts/shoes/shirt. not pants like before.
body weight = 166.6lbs
total bodyfat = 9.9% / 16.0lbs
total body water = 73.0%
im under 10% body fat wow! next one i hope to get in feb or in april. or both. feb when i wanna stop bulking and then in april/may once i think /hope my cutting is complete to 8% bodyfat.
